I had one years ago. My guy opened my wall in the bathroom and kitchen right above the baseboard then ran PEX thru the bad copper line under the slab about 30ā€™. Worked great and that was 15 years ago. Only new it was a leak because the bathroom tile around the toilet was warm. Never saw water. Only cut out a 12x12 hole each side. He used a cup thing on the floor and could hear the leak.

How was the water pressure after the PEX was installed? A noticeable difference?

No difference at all. Quick and easy. They came and were done in a couple hours. They used that cup they lay on the floor attached to an ear piece to spot the leak. They just cut a 6ā€ piece out of the copper at each end about 12ā€ above the floor then attached the PEX back to the copper once it was thru. Pretty slick
