Skiing behind a Schiada

Any one else see these peeps? I have seen them every day since thursday, they just keep tearing up the water. I met one of 'em at Badnocks on Sat. morning, he asked me if I was River Dave, I politely answered no.

That's my neighbor Tom in his 1976 Schiada with Warren and Glen. They ski every Monday thru Thursday starting at 5:45 AM. Each week they'll rotate using each others boats, between Tom's 21RC, Warren's 21RC and Glen's Hallett 210.

Every time you post photos of them I pass them on, they love em! That's Warren skiing in the air shots, and the last photo is Glen skiing.

They are all the nicest fellas you could ever meet. I had the pleasure of being invited to ski with them a couple weeks ago, which was quite an honor. I brought my wood Maha 360 and they all gave it a shot. They remember the 360 as a "beginner's ski" but couldn't believe how fun it was. It was a blast! I'm going to call Tom now and have him check this out.

Yep, I just talked to him and he said that him and your grandpa are fraternity brothers. Tom's got deep roots, tons of history, and is responsible for finding my 68 Schiada. He's become part of our family. :thumbsup

It's an Aeronca 7-AC, Continental A-75 and no oil cooler.

Hoping to be on the water skiing first thing Sunday morning. I have never skied behind my Schiada. Had it for 2 years now. Sold the Tige back in April and have only skied twice.

We must have just missed you. I know Andy and Mondorally were skiing early. Maybe 7ish, although when I look at the aerial pics, I see the boat at the dock still.

Dave stopped in front of your house for a minute, and then we headed down to get some breakfast at the BlueWater.

AJ is loading the RZR in one pic, you "old" guys get up too early, lol.

Amazing perspective on the size of my boat, I really didn't realize how big it actually is for a 29' boat.

When we were finsished about 7:30 we came back in the north entrance to the keys and saw a plane going by - was wondering if it was you Wheeler. I had a 9:00 am appt and had to drop Andy and Justin and then get the boat back on the trailer and cleaned up to be on time -

One of these days....it was a great couple of hours in Parker....

They do this alot and have been doing it for years, Tom is a Pilot, and Warren run's miles a day and i'm not sure about Glen but I think he walks alot. A bunch of nice guy's, I have known Tom sence 1974 when I had my 21 Howard with the Blown BB ant the T 400 trans, I may have been the first to do that i'm not sure.

I put a Turbo 400 in my 22' Schiada in 1974 too. It sure was new at the time. I can still remember the looks and comments that I would get when shifting from 2 nd into 3rd when leaving shore...
