I wasn’t really crazy about the wrap-job when I bought these but they’ve been fun. I’d like to build them a bit bigger and re-tape.

Any suggestions? What kind of tape and who sells it? I went to Wakesports in Orange but they weren’t much help.

If you want them bigger, as in fatter handles.... you can use road cycling handlebar tape for padding. Then go over it with white ankle wrap tape. Depending how much you use it should last a couple of years.

I just use standard black athletic tape. Like the other said, if you want a fatter handle use bicycle grip tape, foam, or pre wrap, then wrap over it. If you find that doesn't work for you, you can always flip the tape on your last wrap and wrap the tape around the handle sticky side out. Gives you extra grip but can be sketchy....and don't drag them through the dirt after. Lol

What memories that brings back. When I did the slalom course back in the 70's, we used steering wheel wrap to soften the handle. Single handle, 5ft vee, 75ft to start and pulled behind a MasterCraft. I was no good at it but, did we ever have fun. The winner got the trophy and everyone acknowledged his achievement. The girls stayed on shore looking fine.
