We bought Flying laveys 01 Z71 1500 for my girls. I would like to upgrade the headlights in it. Anyone have any suggestions? What have you done?

Check out the stuff on

We are a dealer for them, if they have something you like let me know and we can get you hooked up.

EDIT: Doesn't look like we can help you out on that one, they do not offer a complete assembly, just bulb replacements.

Thanks anyway.

@Bigbore500r to the white courtesy phone.

Jerry did some really nice ones in his 05ish Silverado.

I'm not familiar with the upgraded aftermarket stuff, but I do know that you should stay away from any aftermarket replacements if you're sticking with OEM. They suck on my 2003.. They all leak and/or the light pattern will be off. Either go legit OEM or get some nice upgrades that put out better light.

I bought this brand from amazon, pretty decent lights for the price

I just started a thread a few days ago about replacement headlight housings down in the truck section. Some good info here. I ordered the TYC lights @Don65 mentioned above. We will see how they shake out.

Anything is an upgrade from 20 year old yellowed and foggy lenses. I can recommend the TYC brand (rock auto and other places offer it). They are the only aftermarket replacement headlight brand that I've found that consistently fits properly and has a good light pattern. I have them in my 2002 chevy truck and I'm very happy with them.

Get 2 sets and do your other truck too....those look worse.

Amazon for the clear stock replacement headlight assemblies, and then get some white LED headlamps off amazon, and "switchback" LED's for the blinkers and running lights
