The first thing I told new riders of my 84 ATC 250R was don't put your foot down when turning, only had to say it once, I learned the hard way.I was raised on riding dirt bikes and could never adapt to riding those 3 wheelers, every time I rode one of those I ripped my riding pants leg off below the knee., thumb throttle and horrible center of gravity. Hard to believe one was still in a crate today, kinda cool, but I hate those things to this day.
And don't use the rear brake if going up a hill and you need to stop. The first thing I told new riders of my 84 ATC 250R was don't put your foot down when turning, only had to say it once, I learned the hard way.
Would you keep it in the box???
And when you get to the top of the hill and it isn't quite going to clear the top don't put your feet down to give it that little extra push over the top unless you want the damn thing to do a burnout up the your calves and ram you in the crotch repeatedly. The first thing I told new riders of my 84 ATC 250R was don't put your foot down when turning, only had to say it once, I learned the hard way.
Much easier said than done...I still cant grow leg hair on the back of my calves. The first thing I told new riders of my 84 ATC 250R was don't put your foot down when turning, only had to say it once, I learned the hard way.
My dad bought a Odyssey back in like 1978, he rarely let us kids ride it. The rear suspension was entirely dependent on air pressure in the tires and the front suspension was almost non existent. Pull starting that 250cc engine was a no go when I was 8 years old. A couple of my uncles broke their arms and or dislocated their shoulders rolling that thing down hills sideways...man the 70's and 80's made you feel alive and tested your piloting / driving / riding aptitude and the test results were immediate!I remember everyone bitching when the Honda Pilot/Odessey hit $5000. They'd take step back in disbelief.
I also remember coworkers pissed off when a Philippes' Beef dip sandwich hit $2.75.
That sandwich is now $14.
