Should I raise my motor?

Some opinion from the experts, please

Went to the lake for four days and got to get some new numbers. 200 XRI 6200 RPM and 63 mph.
22 Pitch 4 blade. Any opinions on lifting my motor to the next mounting hole and going with a 24
my water pressure is good 12 pounds with acceleration. The pump is new. I do not have a low water pick up, but the motor sits back on a plate, so water’s passing the lower
The three blade in the photo is a 24 Chopper but creates a little bit of purposing

Only one way to know for sure... pick it up, but watch the water pressure!

Try all the props all over again with it lifted too, the porpoise in that chopper may not be there lifted up.

Raise it one bolt hole and try it like said above. Those rigging hoses and shift and throttle cables will thank you too. ;)

Really hard to say without a straight on shot of the bottom of the vee relative to the lower, but first, that isn't a chopper on the motor there. That is a through hub prop. Choppers are over-hub. That isn't a ton of set-back so you might be getting too much transom lift with the 4 blade and the motor that tight to the transom (motor position likely isnt too bad for all-around use on a Vee), also that prop has a decent amount of rake it seems which would attribute more to transom lift. I would suggest trying a 3 blade at a 24" pitch the way it sits right now. As far as raising it, I'd need to know more before throwing out any ideas.

Other photo is a chopper.

I had a bunch of props but sold most of them. I do have a 23 pitch Tempest plus that I could throw on there. Cables and hydraulic steering are performing nicely, even though the tubes look bent over too much. Had it professionally done by WOT.
WOT lake tested and said the three blade 24 porpoised and recommended going with the four blade 22
