about how much would it cost to ship a 1 ton truck per mile? i found a very, very nice 2001 powerstoke that only have 43k miles on it. its just 800 miles away( or 300 if i have it shipped to a relatives house. ) driving it back is sadly not a option for me right now as i am in the middle of a project that i really can't take off from for a few days to go get it.

Where is the truck going to and from? There might be a member making the trip that can help out.

Not sure per mile cost but when I sold my 1T crew cab dually to a guy in Chicago he had it shipped on an open carrier trailer for $1500.00 (I'm in San Gabriel valley). I bought a 2 door Tahoe a couple years back outta Oklahoma and had it shipped to AZ and it was about $800.00.

Anywhere between $1500 to $2000. Shipping to and from California is the cheapest place either direction. Lots of people buy cars in California from all over. So they usually have a truck in the area and going near you. More out of their way, the more it costs you. California is very greedy, even if you are from out of state, you take delivery in CA, you pay sales tax. If you ship it by a bonded carrier no tax. So most people ship it out of CA. Net they'll have a car or two going to Seattle. Easy to pick up an extra $1k to drop yours on the way in Bend. But no cars going to or near pick and drop off. Its more money.

I have a very good friend that started a transport business out of Vegas a while ago, I think he charges .75 cents a mile, more or less depending on how many other vehicles he is transporting. Let me know if you want me to have him give you a call. 100% reliable honest guy I have known for over 30 years.

Yes, that was me. I had checked rates and they averaged $1.00 to $1.35 when I was looking to ship a few cars up from Cali to Vegas. My buddy that started his biz last year charges .75 a mile for longer hauls depending on the trip and I think he gives a small break for 2 vehicles especially if he has a 3rd to fill up his trailer. Let me know and I can get you his number. PapaG.
