Might have something to do with it. Man right outside the tarmac restaurant.

Well, that was mechanical failure perhaps or they had a hard lining

Remember when this same thing happened with trains a year or two ago? I think it's pretty similar to that, stuff happens everyday. It just seems to be the focus after the first major incident.

Last time a friend replaced a feeble front strut on his airplane a used one was $19.000 + labor + signoff.
A Lear may be astronomically higher and someone deferred the change-out.

The last time we flew on Aer Lingus it was on nearly new A330's. Great airplane, better than average airline. :D

AFA Lear 35's... They are hell for stout. Usually a gear leg comes off when it runs into something solid. Prayers to all those involved.

The landing gear was stripped off when the plane departed the runway at a pretty good speed. It travelled across a taxiway and onto the parking ramp, where it hit a larger Gulfstream 280 super midsize jet.

Unfortunately the cockpit was crushed by the impact with the Gulfstream, and the crew of the Lear were killed.

RIP

There is a massive market for counterfeit parts in airplane maintenance. All the way down to the faked logos on the parts. Not saying its the case here, but its something that can be attributed to accidents.

Those rocky areas are water retention between the east and west taxiways and the runway down the center. If one goes shooting off the runway through those depressed and rocky water retention areas it is guaranteed to shear something off on the undercarriage.

The cockpit struck the trailing edge root of the 280's right wing. Fate comes calling, and we must obey. How sad.

To be perfectly honest I’m surprised there are not a lot more airplane crashes everyday. The more exposed I get to aviation the more sketchy as fuck I realize it is LOL

Driving dessert center at 90 passing 20 cars with family in the truck is much safer than flying...
