Score Parker 400 CA loop

The Score Parker 400 used to run 2 different loops. 110 miles on the CA side and then you had 2 hours to load up, pit the car and restart on the AZ side at the Shea Rd. main pit. The AZ loop is pretty similar to what its run now. Would really like to go back around the CA loop again. Curious if anyone has a GPS file for that area. Some of the area between Rice and Thunder Alley is private road now. Other than that, shouldn't be too tough to find a way around that loop. GPS file would be a bonus.

I remember loading the old Cabe Bros 7s on the trailer to do the other side, with a slipping clutch, and the traffic was so bad we started pulling the trans while going down the road at about 2 mph, on the trailer. FFS I'm old. Pete

I remember those days well, guys hauling ass up Shea to the intermission pits. I remember standing next to Ivan Stewart talking to him about his car while his staff prepped the car for the AZ loop. Can’t recall but they had an hour or something between loops before having to restart on Shea

no spectator rules, walk the course during the race. no cops, no border patrol, no sheriff, no game and fish....amazing how well it all went back then.

i think lots of people were wrenching away on or inside trailers. Saw Mickey Thompson getting a ticket because his crew was working on his car on a roll back truck driving through the middle of town. Good times

How do you know The Cabe's ? I used to work at Cabe Toyota as a mechanic in the late 70's and 80's.

Started hanging out with Mike Bingham, Mike Gallagher, drinking beer on i think weds nights at parts service there. Still talk to everyone including John Cabe, still sell about 2-3 cars a year sending people to John. Small world. Tim Grey? Robert Trent? Dave Pork??

Cool, I'm still really good friends with Mike and John, my family's know the Cabe family since I was a little kid, my Dad also sold cars for them. And I know all of those guys you mentioned. This is me and John last year I did a restoration on a Willys that John gave me. - Dennis Parker

Mind blowing how much it has changed since I was even in my 20’s!!


Did you know the cops in Parker have rzr’s now To patrol out by the desert bar? Not bad enough they ducked the whole river, now they are fucking that up too!!!!
