Kids have left ASU to work from home but ASU refuses to extend PREPAID meals to next semester.

ASU : Sorry they expire we have costs too. Yeah, like the 1 million dollar presidents salary or the football coach’s 12 million dollar contract

Not anymore they don't. Baylor didn't have any Wuhan infections until two dumb fuck professors went to New York on spring break and came back infected...FUCKTARDS!

Sam, do they go to Saint Bonaventure? My daughter just started up remote there also at 9am.
They go to St. Simon and Jude. I believe all of the parochial schools are in the same platform. Their teachers join and they are rolling. They are wearing their uniforms top only like I show up to my river conference calls. :D

Nice! Same here. Lol. I told my daughter now you get to experience the joy of conference calls every day like me. She is pretty excited though and has her little office all setup.

The preschool the sons girlfriend works at is still open. She has said parents are still dropping off kids every day, including the dumbfok parents🤪 bringing sick ones🤧. Those folks get called and told to take 'em home immediately 🙄
We truly do have some ignorant people around that obviously aren't the sharpest tool in the junk drawer.

I saw a cool meme but I'm too lazy to upload it, so here goes:

So...home schooling is going well.
2 students suspended for fighting and one teacher fired for drinking on the job.

My son was telling me about a petition going around SDSU this week for reduced rates and asking to just give people a passing grade. I said WTF - no way should they do that...

He did bring up a good point however. He was talking about the classes with a lab component. Now with no lab the students are tasked with basically teaching them selves the content, they don't have access to the teacher and the other students to work collaboratively to learn it. They get the lecture on a Zoom meeting but then they are on their own for the the rest.

???

Awesome.

I saw a guy in Lowes trying to reel in his kids ages 3, 5, and 7 while on an apparent business call. I felt for the guy, but have been there myself.

I had to play IT guy the last couple days trying to get ready for this...Grabbed an old WIN 7 laptop that I hadn't used in years and tried to get it cleaned up enough run fast enough so the kid could use it for "home school"....no dice. He used the wife's laptop on day one, then went to plug the charger back in and the charge port broke inside. Tore that apart yesterday and potted the charge port in place with epoxy...of course it doesn't work. Went to Best Buy and all they had was either bottom of the barrel laptops or $1500+ machines....so the kid got a cheap one. It'll do the job.

Kid and wife are doing OK with it so far, and will likely get easier as things get sorted out.

Appreciate the offer...I think we're good for now. 3 out of 5 are functional.

Just write a nicely worded letter to the Governor of AZ. Start out by saying this is not urgent and I know you have immediate priorities....blah...blah....or best yet have the student write it....it will get some attention.....

My 10 year old twins go to different schools. I thought dropping and picking them at different schools sucked. This home schooling and video chat is a total pain in the ass.
Hopefully we/they/I get this figured out soon. Making me mental.
Therr know way I can get any work done.

My kids were actually home schooled as a choice, oldest all the way thru, he is working as an engineer, younger two attended a Christian High School 9 thru 12 to play sports, they took several classes as well but still did home school work. Number 2 is graduating in May from CSULB with a Business Degree, number 3 is finishing his first year at a JC and on path to be a DOC. My Wife is incredible and the only reason this worked so well for us plus an awesome group we hooked up with called Classical Conversations, truly impressive kids and proves that if you challenge a kid and raise the bar they will meet the challenge. The State Home School (in my opinion) is crap.
