Vid of debris floating after the collapse. They have great whites there, the water is cold and people were in the water when it collapsed. Nightmare scenario

The cement boat pier at SeaCliff Beach broke up several years ago and also took out some places on the beach. My GP's had a place up on the cliff and I spent most summers there growing up. Also spent a lot of time on the Santa Cruz pier where you could drive onto the pier and eat..... great time, but sad to hear this!

My wife grew up right there and her brother is a supervisor in charge of the wharf. That's some crazy video!

Edit: BIL says everyone that went into the water is safe.
