Probably the one from Havasu Landing. There is one up river and one at the landing.

The come out of The Landing, they usually cruise Copper Canyon.

That’s the same fireboat that they also have at Lake Arrowhead. They frequently take it out on the lake and practice shooting water at stuff.

It’s a pretty cool boat. You can hear the pumps engine spool up when it starts spraying water.

I used to staff that boat when I worked at Station 92. Would always do standby for the Arrowhead Ski Races on the weekends. It takes practice maneuvering those boats around people and especially when flowing water with the nozzle reaction. Have to admit though, it was a fun assignment!

We offered them at Advantage in the 80s when we invented the party cat.

As said, that’s the boat out if Havasu Landing. If that was today, I believe they are training. There is a deckhand class and task book that is required to work on the boat or be assigned at Havasu Landing or Needles. They constantly need to add depth to the roster of qualified personnel. Theres quite a few of the guys that live in Havasu and various parts of AZ. It’s one of the perks of working for a County that big. You could work a tiller truck in downtown Berdo one day, then next day a snowcat in Arrowhead, then a boat in Havasu, then head home to a free state like AZ!

The new boat going to the Blythe station for Cal-Fire.... Has an outdrive with props. The guys are taking bets, how long before they rip the outdrive off. Remember they go out at night, can't see much, so the best guess is the first night run, props on a weekly basis during the summer. the water gets so low, but yet they need to respond. The suggestion of a jet boat fell on deaf ears.

Why would they want to use common sense when they're pissing away tax payers $$$.....
Will it be launched with a bullet train to knowhere too?

My son was stationed there when the boat was delivered and was later qualifed to run it. Some very high tech gadgets on that beauty.... Glad she is in service and also gald we have the sister boat in Needles.
