Lol, yep older female.

Says it blooms every 3-4 years, like most older females' love lives
I’ve see the cone style flower like the pic you posted. First time I’ve ever seen this, and I have a bunch of sagos 😵‍💫

You have a mature female Sago palm in heat.🤣

If you have dogs, keep them away the fruit can be toxic.

We had several Sago's around the yard when I moved in, but my wife made me get rid of them all to avoid our dogs getting sick.

One dog ate a palm fruit that fell off one of our queen palms a few years back, and the nut got stuck in his intestine. After surgery he ended up dying anyway a few days later, from infection. Who knew a damn queen palm tree could kill dogs. Now we're careful to cut those seed bundles off long before they turn into fruit.

I ripped out 8 large Sago's years ago when I found out how deadly they are to dogs, and I saw my dog chewing on one. Our vet said they are the deadliest plant you can have in a yard for a dog.

Just a FYI but if you have dogs you shouldn’t have sagos.

The entire sago palm plant is poisonous to dogs, including the seeds, fronds, and roots. The seeds are the most toxic part of the plant, containing a higher concentration of the toxic chemicals.

Had this one 40 years. Presently has no frons . Will it grow some more? Wife cut them all off. Has a couple stragglers on the bottom that need to be cut
