Does anyone do metal fab (tube bending, welding) on the side?

I want to have framed window nets made for my rzr 4 all 4 doors.

Watch that video starting 5:30 mark and see how these were done. I would like something like that. Once the frame is made I can send them out to have window nets put on them.

I think Hostyle can do the frame and netting. Just would need to figure out the hinges.

That's a good idea. UTV rollover crashes have caused major arm injuries, some requiring amputation. Arm restraints are another way to prevent them from occurring.

This photo of three time Indy 500 winner Johnny Rutherford crashing at Eldora Speedway in 1966 illustrates the forces that are involved in violent flips. Both arms were broken, and he missed the rest of the season while recuperating.

Yeah nets or restraints are going on before this season starts. Last trip to ocotillo last year and a guy lost a arm in a slow rollover was telling a guy about it that had nets on his car and he said that’s why he had nets because he watched his friend lose an arm! That was enough for me to hear.

Your cage a magnum motorsports? They make a cage that looks just like that and I’ve seen the nets on them like you’re looking for.

X2 on TFBB
I was just talking to Kevin for doors and nets on my kids razor he did a few months back. My kid rolled their new razor on the first trip out so I ordered a cage and TFBB had it done and powdercoated in 3 days and installed it. Cheaper than most fab shops.
Long travel industries in Anaheim would be my 2nd choice but their leadtimes are long and so is the wait once they have your car . don’t believe Brian’s estimates.
Most places are probably slammed getting stuff ready for the Sand Sports show.

Went to big boy’s toys today and their work looked to be really nice. When talking to them they are a little more $$$$ but quality and service is top notch. They were really nice and willing to go over a lot of info with us. 👍

hostyle so far is the cheapest, $400 a door, cerakote and with netting. This is not installed (welded bungs and latches)

Yea nets are great but at minimum for now get some wrist restraints. You only NEED two sets which is one per seat, on outer arm of course. My car has nets and it’s great it’s amazing how much wind and dust they repel.

Wife and I were about a quarter mile away from this incident, we upped our medical game afterwards.

When I put my rzr on it’s side last year. I put my hand out (instinct) then pulled it back in last sec before we hit the dirt on my drivers side. It was a slow roll and didn’t go all the way over. My son (sitting behind me drivers side) was asleep and luckily his arms can’t reach out yet. He is really close now tho. I was worried about chopping his arm off in that scenario. This is why I want to do window nets.

My wife I don’t think would keep her hand in although when we rolled she never let go of the grab bar.

Very interested in this. Do they need the rzr since the aftermarket cages are all different? I always use wrist restraints since I stuck my arm out once. I never let go of holding onto my harnesses now. Luckily, it never tipped over.

Glad no one was hurt in your incident.

So, curious, that picture shows a fairly flat area. Some ruts and wash out areas, although minor looking. What caused you to roll?

That washout was across the trail. Saw it last second hit the brakes. Car slid and not enough time to gas it out and around. So it slid into the washout and over we went. I was not hauling ass. Maybe going 35-40 mph. I didn’t want to bounce it through the wash out and flip over or rip a corner off

They do not need the car. They are in Fresno. Dan (owner) can come down (he does often) and will make a template out of cardboard and take some measurements and then ship them to you. This depends on the style you go with. I want them attached to my doors vs separate of my doors. Therefore they at least need my doors. He did say he likely can do it with out them. And someone needs to weld in the bungs on the door bar for me. But he won’t know till he sees the car in person.
