Can anyone recommend a bank or credit union?

Wife and I thinking about buying a friends RV. I got a quote from one company and it was way off what they said terms might be. Was give incorrect and incomplete information when I called to inquire before I submitted an application. And I do know they obviously can’t give specifics about everything until you fill the app out but when you tell me the best rate I could get is 7.8% on 15 year loan and it comes back that it actually 9.8% is the best rate it’s really annoying. There were some other things they failed to mention.

Anyhow.

Anyone do a loan recently? How are the rates? I was given a 10% interest rate with 760 credit on a 15 year loan for 75,000. Or is this just the norm? Searches indicates that I should be able to get around 7-7.5 with those specs. Or is what I was quoted the reality of right now.

Also please spare me the if you don’t have cash why bother stuff. I would rather use someone else’s money.

Also are those brokers who you apply through and they find you the best rate a good option?

America First Credit Union is quick and easy to work with. Here are the current RV rates.

Englewood would have been my choice but I needed to get a cash loan. I used light stream. 8.64 I don’t remember the length I’ll check. It was super easy though

Following..... I reached out to my guy who did my loan through my Montanan LLC... but haven't heard back as he is in Florida.

The rate is usually higher for the LLC, but should get some info hopefully in a few days as we are looking to buy as well.

I’d love to help. We are getting some in the 6’s when all the stars align. With good credit you should be able to get in the 7’s. We also have stated-income programs for business owners.

Many angle's Banks consider:

Age of the unit, does not sound like its older than 10 years

Value as stated in the blue book, find out which one they are using.
IE: unit books for 60,000, you pay 75,000. Bank want 15% down, so you'll need 24,000.00 down to fit the banks plan.
Don't pay more than what the bank values it for.

Down payment, remember the higher their exposure, the higher the rate will be.

your credit score, likely won't their best rates below 800 Fico

sure rates are important, but a 1% shift really won't make much of a difference

If you use a broker, they are upselling the rate, they call what they pay the "buy rate" and sell the loan to you at higher rate

don't hate the system, learn how it works
