I'd consider a 20' Schiada if I was you.. Kind of the best of both worlds between the Rayson & a 21 Schiada.. Still likes decent water, but it's a small hotrod. I'd also look at a "Rush" hull just because they look the best IMO.

hey barry can you get ahold of him to see if i can get info on the boats and how he likes themI think it was pretty darn fast with that engine, once Louis gets back from the races this weekend maybe he will finally fire up the new blown injected 540 that I built for him. I don't think Louis would have a problem talking to you about the boat, and he knows about some of the other ones and their history.
Dave,
When our Connolly gets done, I want to take you for a ride in it!!! Planning on a trip to the river/havasu around september!!! you up for it?
How do the 19' Schiada/Howards compare? You see a few of them for sale from time to time, and I know there are a few hard running ones out there.
Thats it....I'm building a turboed Nordic Cyclone all carbon/kevlar and composite.... putting in a huge delta pad with a v-drive. Mike Ramirez and Mike King will be the brains I'm gonna be the machinest. It will have 4 seprate plates with the two outside plates @18" length. The Schiadas are going down!
Compare to what? a 21 Schiada, 20 Schiada? etc?

Deception88, I'm down to film it from the shore.. LOL I don't make it a habbit to get into peoples "new" 1300 HP boats. That's a fast way to get killed.

I was curious how they compared to some of the other smaller GN type boats. They've got a deeper V than the Rayson 20 and the Rush and a lot smaller (and fewer) strakes. As a result, they appear to run much more 'on the keel.' The GN class is predominantly Rayson Crafts, so they aren't too competitive on the racing front, but were raced in the past (not sure how successfully).
Hey Nasty turn your PM's on..tried sending you a message.
Try it again and let me know if it works this time.

You really want to do the damn thing...this is the set up you would want!!
Not at all..... that is a boat built by Mike King years ago. Was owned by my neighbos the Goldsmiths now it switched hands in the park. Fucking thing runs!!!

I believe that Denny Lee built this boat originally then a schiada then the brummett. used to be called keyboard express...if i'm not mistaken
For what its worth..IMHO
If you want a 20' boat low profile, a Rayson craft will be hard to beat. I especially like the look on peoples faces when you blow by them in rough water and they thought you were in a flat bottom and couldnt keep up!
As far as 21' cruisers go...Schiada, Hallet or Rayson's. Any of these are awsome boats. Connolly's are cool but they are flat on the bottom. I love v-drives, but I just drove a Twin Turbo Vector with a #3 drive and now I know why there are so many used in ski racing.
I liked my Cole because it was different and not everybody had one.
