He is on here and on PB.. The cole is a good boat for sure.. J540 also has a blown injected cole open bow that runs real hard..

No offense to the guys on PB, but a connelly isn't going to run near as good as the other boats your looking at. Don't get me wrong they are cool and have a certain mystique to them, but they will flat beat the holy shit out of you in any kind of water more then a ripple. No I've never been in one, but a flat bottom is a flat bottom and there isn't nothing that's gonna change that.

I'd consider a 20' Schiada if I was you.. Kind of the best of both worlds between the Rayson & a 21 Schiada.. Still likes decent water, but it's a small hotrod. I'd also look at a "Rush" hull just because they look the best IMO.

The cole is going to be a bitch to find one like Rushin Roulette.. their pretty rare nowdayz.

I think it was pretty darn fast with that engine, once Louis gets back from the races this weekend maybe he will finally fire up the new blown injected 540 that I built for him. I don't think Louis would have a problem talking to you about the boat, and he knows about some of the other ones and their history.

Yes, he is my neighbor at the River. Hes a new owner of it and droped the blower motor in it... dont know how much time he has behind the wheel of that boat yet. I can get you the last owners number. It has been around.

Rush's are a great hull...they ride rough as well...and the ones I have seen are pretty heavy to take the beatings. I just sold a Rayson 21 that would of been perfect for you... brand new balsa floor and fresh bottom. I let it go for 10k and had almost 8k in glass work. The things turn on rails..it's almost sick!!

Here u can see the entry and rear on my Connolly. Its a lighter weight lay up... it cuts the chop ok...but will take a set and be gone before a lot of these other boats. For rough water... no cruisers mentioned are gonna cut through it like a Schiada.

How do the 19' Schiada/Howards compare? You see a few of them for sale from time to time, and I know there are a few hard running ones out there.

Deception88, I'm down to film it from the shore.. LOL I don't make it a habbit to get into peoples "new" 1300 HP boats. :D That's a fast way to get killed. ;)

Compare to what? a 21 Schiada, 20 Schiada? etc?

To be bluntly honest, I have no idea.. I've never been in one. You guys gotta keep in mind when I'm saying "rough water" I actually use my boats, and their not trailer queens. I'll go out and run em saturday afternoon on a memorial day in Parker in Parker.

If your normal deal is running in quieter places, or in the mornings etc.. Then all these boats are kick ass boats.

Back to the 19' Howard/schiada. Never been in one. There is a guy on here that has a 100+mph 19' Schiada. Afternoon on memorial day weekend he was trying to catch up and pass me. I was running abuot 65mph and he never caught up or passed me. All that being said though, the water conditions we're most definately in my favor (big water). LOL

Thats it....I'm building a turboed Nordic Cyclone all carbon/kevlar and composite.... putting in a huge delta pad with a v-drive. Mike Ramirez and Mike King will be the brains I'm gonna be the machinest. It will have 4 seprate plates with the two outside plates @18" length. The Schiadas are going down!

Not sure you'd want a v-drive with that sharp of a nose on it.. ;) As soon as you hit the plates and end up on the beach you'll be thinking to yourself.. "Man i wish I had a Schiada" :D

I was curious how they compared to some of the other smaller GN type boats. They've got a deeper V than the Rayson 20 and the Rush and a lot smaller (and fewer) strakes. As a result, they appear to run much more 'on the keel.' The GN class is predominantly Rayson Crafts, so they aren't too competitive on the racing front, but were raced in the past (not sure how successfully).

It handles really well and can take the chop too, thanks to some work on the bottom and added stringers to the sides. Speed is no problem, takes a set nice back on the delta pad. It runs well, with just around 800hp it still goes 102mph on gps full of fuel. The new owner is playing around with a couple of differnt engines, but I suspect the turbo motor will find its way back into the boat.

For what its worth..IMHO

If you want a 20' boat low profile, a Rayson craft will be hard to beat. I especially like the look on peoples faces when you blow by them in rough water and they thought you were in a flat bottom and couldnt keep up!

As far as 21' cruisers go...Schiada, Hallet or Rayson's. Any of these are awsome boats. Conolly's are cool but they are flat on the bottom. I love v-drives, but I just drove a Twin Turbo Vector with a #3 drive and now I know why there are so many used in ski racing.

I liked my Cole because it was different and not everybody had one.

You are correct. The Goldsmiths changed the name, as well as replacing a light blue stripe with red. I drove that boat in a race or two pulling Carl.

Flat is fast man!!!

Ours takes the chop pretty well, considering that it is flat in the rear... Wind chop is fine but Nasty boat chop like 3 foot rollers, you can take a beating!!

When the water is nice and glassy though it Runs hard!!!
