We were about to go across the street when this rolled up. At first I thought it was a Google car - until some dude jumped out of it!

Knowing we were about to cross the street, we looked at each other...

You go.

No, you go.

What if it doesn't stop? You go.

Then it went, against the "walk" sign...lol lol

We're such dumbasses and I wanted to stand in front of it to see what would happen, but I pussed out. 😂

Interesting!

I would love to go for a ride in one....
Have to say, people screwing with them intentionally will be one of their biggest issues for a while.

Honestly I am really looking forward to self driving cars. Too many idiots on the roads. At least some of them would be thinned out.

Lyft and Uber have been unreliable for us. Recently in Europe we had one cab driver that set the trip off on a bad note.
Looking forward to eliminating all of them.

Can't stand seeing hard working people put out of a job. Who are thugs gonna rob if there's no driver?

The first will be stupid expensive. They will drop rapidly after that.

Welcome to San Fran - thousands of them are circling the city all day. The same jaguar cars.

Story in the paper last week - women trapped in one had to call the cops to get out when a bunch of punks stood in front of it and it wouldn’t move or unlock the doors.

I find it interesting that Waymo partnered with Jaguar. I guess that's one way to sell a car and being all electric perhaps it will be somewhat reliable.

Waymo has hundreds of cars in 315 square miles of Metro Phoenix.

They arrive much quicker typically than does Uber or Lyft. No one to tip so rides are cheaper.

They do however only work east of the I17 in the more Bourgeoisie parts of the Valley.

I still use Lyft or Uber. People like to fuck in the Waymo's with no driver and I don't carry a black light to know where to avoid sitting.

Where or who do these get plugged in to recharge? Is there a person managing the charging station(s)

They were all over in San Francisco when we went to the baseball game a few months back. I want to say I’ve seen them all over Phoenix too.

We were curious to see what the car did since it was at a crosswalk and not at a light - but I didn't want to be "that" guy you read about on the news who was flattened by a Waymo after standing in front of it. 😂

Carry on...

If given the chance, we will take Waymo every time. Done so several times in the Marina area. Remember, these things can see forward, sideways and backwards all at the same time, and never be distracted.

Also the highest concentration of Asian drivers...... weird coincidence ehh?
