A buddy of mine hooked me up with a guy from the area. Apparently there are a bunch of wild cows in the Bighorn Sheep conservancy area that are chasing people and getting the sheep sick. Looks like I will head that way in February

Sounds like it might be a little liberal around there

Very large homosexual population...

Also, a shit ton of great golf courses, if you care. My buddy hosts a Super Bowl weekend golf tournament for 12 of us--it's an absolute blast. Tons of stuff to do in that area, tons of great restaurants, etc...

Have a nice time!

A little liberal may be the understatement of the year. City council was quite proud of their first transgender member...odd choice of wording I guesso_O I believe the rest were just, hmmm, light in their loafers. You may still have some snowbirds out there in February, so you may be ok and have some people to talk to. On the bright side, I'm sure you'll have lots of interested parties offering to buy you drinks:D

all the above is true but the city does have great food.

Check out jackalope and Arnold Palmer in laquinta. jackalope has an awesome bar live music on weekends and is setup perfect for milfhunting. Food sux so eat at Arnold Palmer down the street which also has live music an outdoor putting green and good milfhunting.

Lgs is the best steakhouse in town but it probably won't compare to your everyday beef with your job. there are a few locations around town.

Melvins is old school palm springs.

Town is very gay but no one will bother you. Majority of gay bars are on one street so just steer clear of those bars. Will still be busy with snow birds so drive carefully cuz they drive like shit. Like said tons of golf available in all price ranges

I’d stay at Morongo casino (awesome rooms & chow) and fly out of there!

You know you are a super baller when you roll up with your helicopter on a stretcher. :)

I might just stay out of town. My country ass doesn’t have a filter....

Palm Desert and La Quinta are more "normal" and higher end I'd say. If you're nervous about the gay population, stay out of the downtown Palm Springs area, and you should be fine.

And even if you're downtown (I've been many times with or without my wife), it's not like you're going to be attacked by "the queers." Live and let live, lol.

The whole Cochella Valley area is a great place this time of year. Enjoy it.

They might have a recruitment drive, or you might catch the gay. Be carefull! :D

If nothing else you can retreat to ROC's

That may not be a bad idea. I know diesel is cheaper there, but that's also where the wind is it's worst. Copterzach, winds are pretty nasty around west end of the valley. I don't know a damn thing about flying, but even towing high profile stuff can keep you on you toes.

Not sure where you are working but the wind that comes down through the San Gorgonio pass is pretty gusty. I've had Astar's and 500's flung all over the place going through there so that 1370 pound Beta could be fun. :)

That area from Indio up to Palm Springs has some great restaurants of all types of food.

If you have time, I've always thought the Palm Springs aerial tramway is worth the trip.

Wasn't even thinking about that! (wind) But you are absolutely right!

Looks like I will leave South Tx around 2/23. Be there till I get done. Apparently these sheep people don’t have a budget....

My kinna clients. : thumbup:

There is lots of money out in that area. Make no mistake about that!

Hopefully you'll have some free time.

If you’re into golf at all it’s a great place to visit. Too many great courses to count. They have all the major steak houses which are always solid. Roy’s for some good seafood. Jackalope is a one of a kind place. Very good for brunch. (Early enough in the season to avoid the flies). I never miss the Beer Hunter. Good burger and beer hang out. Red Barn is great for people watching.
We usually stay at Rancho Los Palmas, La Quinta Resort or a VRBO. We usually do off season so it’s much cheaper.

Agua Caliente is always nice to stay and right off of the 10 and Bob Hope--their steakhouse is pretty good from what I've heard. If you're in Palm Springs at all, Elmers is so good for breakfast. Las Casuelas in Rancho Mirage has a great Sunday buffet--which I'm still suffering from as I type this.

You can't really go wrong with anything here in the Coachella Valley!

Totally agree. Winds in the Whitewater Cabezon area can be a major issue. And Roc's Firehouse Grill on Clark just off the 10 is well worth a visit.
