This Teamsters President just knocked it out of the park!

The Matrix is scared as fuk right now…And I’m not a Union fan even though I was in for 10 years. 😳
I was surprised when I saw him taking the stage.

If he speaks at the DNC, and endorses Biden, it will show he played Trump. Cause that was not a trump endorsement
Good point. If he speaks at the DNC and says the days of you taking our support for granted is over and we will work with whoever we can to improve our position…well, that is the sign of a really good leader. Whether we agree or not.

As a teamster I’m stoked to see him there
Not an idiot using this platform to spread his message. If he pulls off speaking at the DNC that will be genius.

But I call bullshit about going back to driving a truck, I've heard BS like that from management and union leaders before. Once in a power position they fight dogs to keep it.

Said what he needed to say behind closed doors to get the audience, Genius, world wide coverage to not endorse trump, but not lambast him while crying the blues about Amazon eating his lunch.

No disrespect to working union members, but our top union leadership is part of the elite he is pointing a finger at.
Again, this coming from a 40 year union rank and file member.

After reflection, maybe the Teamster Prez just can’t get behind a guy that will shit his pants at any moment while saying loudly…”I like chicken!”

I’d speak a the other guys little meeting too. 😜

I think it was more about showing that people, regardless of who they represent can be part of something totally different than the norm

If he's smart he will have a closed door, and say what he needs to get on stage and not endorse either, but give the same speech, that would be a baller move membership could get behind.

But I think long game, some of the dumb ass young members don't think long term.

Lots of talk lately that the Teamsters may not vote at all. Dems have not been backing them in their Yellow lawsuit. Some may vote Red. Smart move to have him speak and maybe get some blues to come over

Had the RNC on in the background when I started hearing him talk I sat down and actually started watching. Serious moment in history when a teamster is talking at the RNC. big deal. The tides are shifting. This is a huge deal for the republicans. Finally recognition that the republican party is the party of the people.

Before I reply to your post I want to make sure you know that you and I are in 100% agreement.

I have experienced how dirty and crooked unions can be. A free corporate jet flight to whatever destination can mean the difference between who is awarded a construction project and who isn’t regardless of who’s best qualified. The union elite are so fake while their union constituents bust their ass every day believing in the cause.

You’re not wrong and will be interesting to see what the Teamsters do next. If they show up at the DNC and get a platform they’ll look silly.

I was not completely paying attention but I did hear him say he reached out to both conventions on stage. I thought I heard him say that only the RNC invited him but I am not positive about that.
He mentioned this was the first time the RNC allowed him to speak, But I could be wrong. Trump taking a gamble on swaying votes I suspect.

I still say that was not a clear endorsement, and was better for the teamsters that the RNC.

I didn’t hear his speech, but I watched a pre-speech interview with him. He said he had reached out to both parties about a month ago, and the Dems hadn’t yet responded. He also spoke very highly of Vance, listing several Teamster issues he had supported.

Yea when he first started, I thought oh shit here's another Jimmy Hoffa moment, but as his speaking went on with no endorsement, it was a pitch for his leadership stability.
Powerful speech tho.
Trumps facial expressions said alot too... seemed like he wanted to say some shit at times

After sleeping on it, I still think this guy speaking at the RNC is a good thing and might lead to expansion of the tent.

The message he was relaying resonates with a very broad swath of the W2 public, union or not, whose wages aren’t even coming close to matching inflation over the past few years.

With respect, most of the RDP inmates seem to be pretty far right. That Teamsters speech was not for you. More on that in a moment.

I had not planned on watching the RNC Convention last night, but I ended up giving it my full attention. I watched on Fox, so I ended up getting some talking heads coverage as well as seeing speeches. I'll go seek out the ones I missed as a result of interviews on Youtube today and I will be back in front of the TV tonight for round two.

I'm not a true believer in the Republican party, while I'm registered Republican, I'm much more Libertarian. The Libertarian party is a joke. I was filled with a sense of pride in our country last night, the tone of the convention gave me hope that this nightmare the left has created for many people will soon be over. It was the first time in my life, I considered going down to the Republican party headquarters and volunteering. I'm waiting to see if I still feel the same at the end of the week before I commit. That is what a convention should do, make you want to lend a hand. Inspire you, make you want to participate.

The Teamsters President speech was not for the far right, but the middle. When he walked on the podium I was shocked. I did not agree with everything he said, but I do believe he is correct about Amazon. They don't pledge alliance to anything but more profits. I liked his speech, and his purple tie.

The EDA speeches were the best. I felt bad for the first guy on after Trump came in the room, holy crap that pressure.

This election is not about just winning, it is about complete victory against the left. To do that the right is gonna have to humbly accept the majority in the middle and make generational habit changes for people who have traditional voted blue. The softening of the Abortion issues is a great start. I'm totally fine with the religious overtone, some of us could use more of that in our lives. Me included.

I've never voted for a democrat so before you guys get all spicy and start calling me Grads, I'm not ashamed to be a vocal opponent of duopoly, if this shift in the Republican party continues, I may be able to relax my crusade for a third party choice. I did not vote Trump in 2016, he earned my vote in 2020 and my endorsement in 2024.

I'm a fan of JD Vance from my limited knowledge of him and having grown up in a similar fashion it is easy for me to admire his story. His speaking style is a welcome change from the aggressiveness of Trump.

I sincerely hope that this time Trump does drain the swamp.

He started on the right track, but you could even see it in the crowd, he turned, defiant, defensive, bitter, and with a "Chip On his Shoulders" in a threatening way "Drew The Line" of "Our Way OR No Way"

IMO, that doesn't "FLY" with President Trump.

Trump looked very different to me, I think this humbled him and honestly how could it not. There had to be some form of shock that set in. Last night he looked happy to be alive, when he walked in and looked at Trump Jr and his family, you could see it. I have always believed he has a sincere love for his country and while I don't agree with everything thing he says or how he says things, I do think we are going to see a much more focused Trump. He doesn't NEED to do this, he WANTS to because he loves the USA. That is what serving your country should be about.

I have a feeling RFK jr may make an appearance.
It would be fantastic, colossal.

Vance is under DNC attack already.
I know a lot of animosity toward Nikki but she'd be electable in 4 years and leave us off roaders and gasoline/diesel vehicle lovers alone. Shes said it.

Yeah NATO has dropped the ball and Trump had the huevos to point it out and act on it but,,,,,,
If Trump lets Vlad the Putnik overrun Ukraine their will be Biblical Romanesque style carnage and the USA won't vote GOP again in and beyond our lifetimes.

Gavin Newsom will walk into the WH and ,,,,,,,,. So look at the big picture.

I'll vote Trump though a lot is at stake now.
Some of Bidens policies have to be phased out slowly or the tragic consequences will be unreversible.

Joe Biden got us in a terrible bunch of messes.
I think their is a Quote someplace even Obama predicted this.
