Did we just read from the Wave Tractor owner that did the deed? :)
My boat has almost the exact same color scheme but it only see Lake Mohave lol

One time I was on the end of the dock at Katherines waiting to pull out and some guy rolled up in his boat and said he had rented the space. I didn't know they actually sold those spaces for overnight slips

.

So did you see the boat again anywhere?
It was in a “transient slip” today that isn’t behind locked gates…ya figure that would be a good clue but I guess not lol.

This is a perfect weekend for boating btw

Once I have a lift/cover installed I don’t expect further issues regardless. I need to follow up with them this week on the vendor status for that.

Will do, I found my old yellow plastic chain from Texas that I had on my slip there. Plan to use that vs a cable..for obvious reasons with a sign with the boats name.

I am going to push to expedite the lift process…bc that makes the issue for me a mute point.

I am looking forward to big weekends with other RDP guys/families on the docks. Some good memories will be made.

Last time I talked to Jeremy they were looking at one of three vendors. I checked out all three of the companies they mentioned and Hydrohoist was the only one that is compatible with our docks. I wish they would hurry up and make a decision, as I want to get the dock canopy up before it's 115°.

Logistical question…how do you get the chain across the slip without getting wet?

I will look tonight when I get to the house but the brochure he gave us wasn’t hydrohoist… I had hydro in Texas..I like the product but the one that seemed to be the decision was some other brand…. However I was super impressed by the cover system…

Whether I find the brochure or not I will call Jeremy tomorrow and post the info. I need to call him anyway about dock corners and a box being put in.

Talking rough numbers I don’t think the pricing was out of line from what I have paid before in other marinas.

This is the one they were leaning towards.

That’s the one they told us about and ballpark pricing. I remember bc of the integrated cover
If you notice, every one of Sunstreams pictures are of the floating lift's on side tie docks, not finger docks. I'm not sure they have hardware to attach the floatlift to a finger dock. I do really like the automatic boat cover though.

The HyrdoHoist is a good lift. My toon has been sitting on one for years in the LHC Marina (we have 5-6 on our dock). Free floating and you can get a cover attached as well.

If the Havasu Riviera Penthouses houseboat program is successfull, than the rack storage would be successful.
Hi wanted to give an update on riviera penthouses LLC. As of now the project is on hold with 153,000 dollars of my money that riviera penthouses LLC which is also the same two guys as Bravada yachts and Havasu yachts. I have sent a letter with failure to perform they have not built any of my boat yet even though it was supposed to be done between oct 2023 and March 2024. Please do your due diligence prior to giving them one dollar of your hard earned money. It appears they may not be on the up and up. They are tied in with the riviera marina development I am know having a hard time to get answers. I just want to make sure others are aware of what is happening. These two men seem to open up multiple LLC’s. So please be aware.

Octane Tim was running it from the inside it sounds like. Wanted some money for when he got out. On a real note I wish you luck getting either your finished product or money back. That’s a lot of coin.

I can't imagine sending $153k to a stranger. I wish you luck and hope there was a proper contract in place.
Well it didn’t exactly work like that per see we have a contract and it was payments there is just some other things we should have done. Also this will be in litigation. That being said I just want to get the word out to others. Also they have built house boats are known however there are some issues now and I would not trust them at this point. So I just wanted others to know because it is still being advertised and many realitors in Havasu are still promoting it.

Been there. It has to be one of the most frustrating situations with the lack of control. Get the facts. Are they going to build your float or are they going out of business? Start ups have slow production. More then likely their not going to return your money. Open up comunacation and work it out. A face to face sitdown can make miles of headway. Remember, when all the money and assets are gone, all you're going to get is a handful of nothing and the courts cant bring that back.

Build it and sell it? Make it someone else's problem or love.

If the resale clauses are anything like the slips, good luck with that.

@Mickey91350 have they said anything or just radio silence?
If you compensate on one side of the contract, you have to recipacate. I had a houseboat deal go bad in Portland Oregon. The rules and regulations
make you want to shoot someone. If you can find a way to completion, that's a win. The court is only a way to prove you're right.

Thank you for the kind response at this point I just want to help other people. As I hear this company also opening up something in Florida. They do build boats, but irregardless they said they had started the boat and then when I pushed for pictures, there was no boat, so others just be wary I think going forward I would always use an escrow account and only take parts of it out as I see the boat being built. It’s pretty devastating. We are good people and I always honor my word. I am just exhausted by the world we live in.

I'm so sorry. I've never wanted anything so bad as that house boat we wanted to have built. Perfect location on the river, views to die for, built in boat house with a lift. Was going to be our weekend getaway. Go down to the dock to see how the framing is coming and the only thing there is the building permit sign and I put that there 6 months ago. Letting people know helps but find a way to get some money back.

I am so sorry to hear that. Did it ever get finished? Oh I am going to try very hard. I am going down many avenues as of right now. I just no nothing will be fast or maybe they will finish they said it the marinas fault something with permits. The marina says it’s releasing the slips next year we will see, but because they knew there was a permit issue from back in June but continued to take my payments till Oct at least they told me then to stop paying now, however I just don’t want any other people getting involved with this group till they get this sorted out

Short answer is, the house got built but not by us. Learned a lot from that experience. When things go bad it's amazing how fast people will turn on you or sit on their hands when they could help. I sold the barge, dock and house plans. All I lost was my club dues, dock fees and realitor fees.

I talked to the developers of the riviera and they said they are no longer associated or doing any business with the havasu penthouse group..

I asked what happens to the people that put money up and they basically said they didn’t know and those people would have to take it up with them.

I would also post on the riverdaves Facebook group to get more awareness out there.

Were these houseboats like a boat you can take out for a spin or stick built on a barge and chained to the dock?

So zero accountability?

Just a simple "no longer associated or doing business with", same as a DNR (Dump n Run).

Bummer!

Someone might want to start making calls then. Online, it sure looks like they are associated. At DS and SCFW, my wife and I looked into them. Huge red flag was the permits. We could not find anything stating they had permits to do this activity on the lake. They stated they did, but zero results could be found when we did an independent search.

It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out in court which is likely where it will end up.

On the bright side of things, IF or when the intended space / slips for that purpose gets released the Riviera / Marina can sell or rent the slips to someone else... again. 🤔

Who released permits to build the slips/docks at the Riviera? Is it reqiured/approved by federal or local authorities? In Canada, every body of water. lakes and rivers is the jurisdiction of the federal government. Many docks were built without permits and the government caught up and made owners to have it removed. Only grandfathered docks could remain.
There's a tiny island in the Deep Cove area in Vancouve, owner who bought it, built a mansion on it but couldn't get a permit to build a small bridge wide enough the drive on it. He got a permit for a foot bridge only. One of the most valuable properties in west Vancouver at Eagle Harbour have their small ferries to cross the narrow channel to get to their fancy mansions from the mainland.

This guy just sold his property on Eagle Island. My dentist was a friend of his and went fising on this boat in the picture. Hinckley is the brand. https://www.soprovich.com/listings/5858-5866-eagle-island/
This is a small property and house by West Vancouver standards, hence the low price of 4.8 mil;)

The dock permits have been approved.
But, the penthouses and the permits required to feed those houseboats with power, water and sewer lines have not been submitted.

Lake Pleasant, AZ currently has homes on barges for rent in scorpion bay marina. They look very nice. Includes a place to tie up your boat, and a big floating patio.

Lake Pend orielle has privately owned floating homes on the water. Many rent on VRBO. Pretty sweet setup.

Regarding this debacle. I thought it would be a super cool idea but didn't like the business plan and didn't like the pricing. Kind've time share set up. I no likey. But floating "house" with a dock right next to it? bad ass! Loved the "concept". Like I said, didn't love the options. And I think that's pretty shitty that Riviera is like "not it!" after the whole thing was packaged and sold almost as if it was part of the Riviera's whole build out plan. But in reality is sounds like it was an independent 3rd party using the Riviera's clout to get investors. Riviera should have protected themselves a little more and ensured that if their name is on it, it would be on the up and up. Serious stain on what has been a really cool project out there.

Here are a few aerials of Lake Pend orielle. Bayview Idaho. It is a very interesting small town and eventually it will be discovered and be really nice, but for now it is kind of a mix of run down homes and mobile homes

These homes are right next to the submarine base. Nice little restaurant there next to the ramp.
