I wouldn't waste your time with pegged 1 or 2. They both suck! 👎

I disrespectfully disagree.. Pegged 1 and 2 are fuckin awesome! Get a lot of playtime at my house!

We'll I was very disappointment with both of them and thought it was more hype then anything.

Really? I love them both. I think they are great to put on in the background at parties at the river house as well. Everyone seems to enjoy them. I'm partial to the first one because I love the soundtrack and it just puts a smile on my face.

I agree. I thought there were a couple cool parts in the 2nd one, but I wouldn't watch it again. You also have to watch them on mute unless you enjoy terrible music.

I appreciate what the guys at Pegged did. I'm sure a lot of work and money went into the films, however I was far from impressed. I think they try to mix in all different types of boaters into one dvd and IMO you can't really do that. It's like making a skateboarding/ tennis video.

The V-Drive videos that Sharp Shooter put together were really cool. You learn a little about the boat, the driver and see some cool passes without a bunch of cheese ball music. I'd like to see more videos like that. Who seriously listens to that crappy music? lol

The music is one of the biggest hurdles making a movie. Its royality free music, because shitty bands think way too much of their bands and want a fortune for the music to be played. Try it and let me know how it works out for ya.

Maybe so, but at least he's honest. Lol

X2, I like both videos.
The M41 segment was probably my favorite of pegged 2, that and the 3 Skaters running on Havasu ;) ! Thanks again for letting me tag along Chris.

How does it suck? There's a ton of good independent music on there now. I guess it depends what you consider good music.

Sometimes I can't watch you tube videos that have big name artists' music. They are blocked or I can't watch them from my phone. I just assumed I couldn't watch them because someone used a popular artist for background music without approval.

Actually I don't believe it is royalty free music.. I believe Chris paid for it on both films?

They would suck, if being judged as movies. They were never presented as that.

The OP is asking about a "River Lifestyle DvD". That is exactly what Pegged is and I think the first one is great. I haven't seen the second one because Dave refused to play it when I was at his house.

Both Pegged 1/2 were really awesome....and I also don't think you can compare River Rats with Pegged.... I view Pegged like a Red Bull/Go Pro video compilation for boating...high energy, eye candy, lots of variation... I view River Rats as a Warren Miller type film for boating...more subdued focused on a particular segment, lots of narration vs music/energy...both hit the mark for their target.

Sorry but the few naysayers here are far and few the minority when it comes to Pegged being viewed as the Benchmark/Standard/Reference for what other boating videos are judged by..

BTW...I actually liked the music....ADHD good band...Volcom tried to get them more air time...and Cadillac Tramps....I see their shows all the time, Johnny Twobags is the guitarist ....he is also lead for Social Distortion.....Music is subjective, but from my perspective it went alot better with the content than Coldplay, Jack Johnson, or Maroon 5...:)

Excellent work Chris.

It's awesome material to have on in the background when you have people over. It draws a crowd, particularly during the cold Saskatchewan winter when we've got cabin fever around Christmas time.

Yea I've seen that before. I look at it this way. Most musicians make shit money, but aren't really in it for the money anyways. "Performers" are in it for the money. They sing songs and play music that have been written for them or told how to make their music sound by big labels that want to sell processed crap to the masses. There's a big difference between a musician and a performer. A musician who creates their own music an artist. A performer is nothing more than a good karaoke singer IMO. I'm all for copyrighting music and getting the people who made it paid when someone is using that music for their financial gain. However I think banning a YT video of a silly cat dancing to the "Cha Cha Slide" because they didn't get the rights to the song is kinda chicken shit.

I can see how the Pegged series is nothing, particularly sound track wise, compared to the train horn DVDs you favor.

I can see what people mean about the music. I wasn't a fan of all of the music, but overall for being music I'd never heard before it wasn't bad. I'm sure cost of music for a video like this can make or break the project as far as profitability is concerned.

I still can't get over the idea that anybody thinks pegged 1 sucked? Especially the music? Normally that type of music is t my thing and I thought the whole soundtrack kicked ass. I even downloaded the songs to listen to them later. Pegged II was definitely more mature and the music was more mellow.. I liked it quite a bit as well.

If Scarlett Johansson was giving away blow jobs, Dennis would complain about the color of her eye shadow.

Anyone remember the old independence day film for Parker? I think roadrunner made it back in the 90's.

Well u know what I mean...He may have, I had a long discussion w him about this and the music was the hardest part of the deal. Some no-name punk bands w 1 hit wonders wanted boat loads of money I know that.

Well Hell yes they are.. Doesn't change the fact that they are bad ass video..

No offense to Sharp Shooter because I love the RiverRats films, but I don't think RiverRats compares to Pegged 1. RiverRats is a specialty video catering to the flatbottom v-drive world. It has a kind of Family Home Video feel to it. Pegged feels more like it came out of a Movie Studio.

Now that's a boating video.

Sad to see the river has become so mainstream and commercialized now. People only want to see big flashy boats full of rented strippers for the weekend.

Dezert People got it right.
