Ugg we all have them:thumbsdown

What's your worst ? I'm in charge of the cooler and hate loading and unloading it. Especially when we get home because I have to dry everything off.
Just venting :D

Im in charge of wiping the boat down, after its off the ramp.

Which can be exhausting, after being in the hot sun all day.:grumble: Normally the girls will help wipe down the interior.:)

I usually am in charge of cleaning and putting away the golf cart too.:grumble:

Let's see, change all the sheets, clean kitchen and bathroom, mop the tile in the house. Vacuum carpeted areas. This is what I had to do this morning while my brother spent 2 hours washing his rhino.

Edit: He did help me wipe down the boat Saturday. Well after I threw a towel and a bottle of Hot Sauce at him giving him no choice. LOL

Clean boat and put back in storage, pack coolers, pack truck, clean up house. I do it all since the wife takes baby daughter duty, so I think that is a fair trade. I don't have the patience to take care of the baby after being out on the lake all day.

It had to be dumping the waste tanks in the camper before heading home , and being hot outside made the job not fun at all .

Cleaning the boat after it comes off the water. Tough doing that in the heat of the day which is why sometimes we wait until the sun starts to go down. Thankfully the wife helps out.

I never experienced "Put away" grief until I got involved in a salt water boat. Use it for one day and it's 2 plus hours min. hauling ass with a crew of people. If I am buy myself I call the wash crew and pay the money.

River- loading and unloading the motorhome sucks. Fortunately our kids are old enough now they get with the program.

Calling the house cleaner to clean the house and calling Adrenaline detail to clean the boat on the way home. Neither number is in my speed dial so it sucks. With the area codes its like 20 buttons.

You name it, I hate it. Packing, unpacking, cleaning the house before leaving for the river so I can come home to a clean house. Then cleaning the river house so when I go back it's clean.

Cleaning boat at the end of the day on Sunday in 105+ degree heat.....after it has sat three days in the dock....the water spots are nice and baked....on the other hand....the beers also taste the best on Sunday afternoons while washing the boat......:)....it is normally at those moments we start thinking of a way to call in sick or move monday meetings around.

I usually wake up early and bounce before everyone is up so I don't have to do anything and giggle myself all the way home.

My wife is still employed.
This means when we are getting ready for a camping trip,
-I do the laundry.
-Get the truck ready.
-Get the boat or toy trailer and contents ready.
-Get the camper loaded on the truck. Fill propane, water, etc.
-Get the clothes in the camper.
-Get truck/camper hooked to whatever we are towing.
-Load all the ice chests, firewood, and stuff.
She goes shopping and loads the groceries, except what goes in ice chests.
I clean the house before we leave 'cause we don't like coming home to a mess.
She then gets in the truck and reads all the way to where we are going. She used to fall asleep about 10 minutes from home. She feels guilty and tries like heck not to do that anymore.

By the time we leave for wherever my ass is wore out.
When we get home she hauls in the laundry and cleans out the fridge in the camper.
I spend the next three days washing clothes, unloading camper, cleaning it out and cleaning up the boat or toys and mucking out the toy trailer.
3 days after we get home from wherever my ass is wore out.

-This is a sensitive subject with me (obviously)...I was the trip prep slave when the boys were young too. Everyone said, "You're home all day Dad (yeah 'cause I work nights) we're in school and mom is at work."
I went on strike once demanding help and we damn near didn't go.
That changed things.
Then when they got older I simply wouldn't prep their bikes. That was on them. Same with going to the lake for the day. I ain't loading your crap in the ice chest, then hooking the boat, then loading the ice chests and your damn wake boards and announcing "we are now ready" anymore.
Get your asses out here and help me or we can stay home.
Since we got the Sanger Cin has gotten much better about helping me clean out the boat after a day at the lake, I will give her that. She is on it and everyone that rides in it gets a wipe down towel and uses it or they don't get another invitation.

Now that #1 son is older and has his own place and 31ft 5'er and quads and stuff he has mentioned how much work it is getting geared up to go.
"Yeah no kiddin' there, son. I lok forward to when you have a couple of rugrats and are prepping. I am gonna come take them for ice cream and let you load their stuff too. :D

Seriously. I usually try to dump the rest of my cooler in someone else's cooler and say "here ya go, free beers".. I hate having to top off a cooler with ice just to get it home then wipe them down before putting them in the garage fridge.

Washing my truck is usually the PITA. I try to get home on early on Sundays before the car wash closes but that never works out that way. :blah:

in the garage,
put boat in garage
get coolers out
get towels out
get unclaimed items out
lower drive
turn off batteries
vacuum boat
wipe down boat inside and out
snap covers on

once inside the house,
empty and clean coolers
put uneaten food and drinks away
clean counters
take out trash
clean bathrooms
wash towels
wash sheets
make beds
vacum bedrooms
pack bags for return trip

prior to leaving house,
check for unclaimed or forgotten items
make sure lights and fans are off in all rooms
set air conditioner
windows all closed and locked
blinds all closed
make sure toilet seat lids are left up
make sure bathroom door in garage is closed (its air conditioned)
front door locked
side door locked
check all one more time
close and lock garage door

I might have left a few things out, i dunno... :hmm

Only have a boat...no river house, no trailer.

So we have the packing part down to a science. Do not mind the packing and unpacking, but the repack for our trip home really blows. Being hung over and packing the truck :thumbsdown

Washing and cleaning the boat is great with me...

That's pretty much my program except I call dirty deeds and he does the boat and the house. The worst part is the hungover drive home. Very rarely am I not hungover ;)

Lower drive helps relieve the weight on the outdrive and leaving the toilet up helps keep moisture in the house while the house is locked up. I leave my house at 90* when I leave.

UG. Never look forward to cleaning the house at the end of a stay. It takes hours when all is said and done. Beds, floors, surfaces, water plants, etc etc. I want to get up and get the hell out. Nope: clean-clean-clean instead. If somebody has a good honest service please PM me names and rates. Time to just pay for that peace of mind (and time / patience)! Thinking $ well spent.

I usually pull boat out and drink 4-5 beers while picking up camp, dump shitter, pull up awning and make final preparations to put away 5th wheel, clean beach up, throw away trash. My girlfriend does inside of trailer so im not sure what happens, Drink another 4-5 beers take a quick swim load up dog and take boat and golf cart to storage. This is the hard part my girl takes over driving duties after storage run and i try to stay awake until going in town to grab a bite to eat, fluff pillow and hopefully wake up somewhere close to long beach. Maybe get a little frisky somewhere out on highway but that is hit or miss depending on how much of a asshole i was during weekend.
