Some of may have known John, as he was a staple in runabout circle boat racing and owner of Engine Dynamics in Baldwin Park. He was a genius with carburetors and died doing what he loved, working on a carb. He was loved by many and will be truly missed. You’re a good and honorable man John and thank you for being so good to me and my family over the years. My thoughts are with Christopher and the rest of your family and friends. RIP

I knew him, but not very well...only met him a few times. Too bad. Not that there is a good time of year, but this is surely a bad one:(

Really sad about John, saw it on the S.C.S.C. face book this morning. Just spoke with him at the Thanksgiving races. He would help anyone even competitors. Race in peace.

Sorry to hear that. I was at his shop about a year and a half ago working an insurance claim real straightforward honest guy.

I met John back in the 90's at the races. I was amazed at his depth of knowledge and soon realized he was the go to guy for most of the top teams including the record holders. From the outside, his shop looked old and kind of beat up, but that was no reflection of John's abilities. John loved boat racing and traveled with Rankin racing all over the country. He's very loved and will be missed by many!

Thanks for posting those pictures Jerry. Brings back a lot of memories as a kid growing up around John and the shop.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone here knew Johns family. There is someone using his reputation to garner business and this imposter duped my son. I would like to get a hold of his family to see if they could help me figure out a few things.

Thanks
