Seriously - why does your cheering for a team have to be about somebody going to the hospital or having some life threatening or horrific injury inflicted on them by your team.

Cheer for your team - wish them well - even get mad when they lose.

But your posts here about the injury they will inflict is exactly why most people don't care for the raider nation - its just simply not the way civilized people act.

And BTW - now that i've been baited twice by your headlines to open the thread, I won't get duped again.

Football is a rough sport played by tough men hitting hard and intimidating the opposing team.

Its not about creating compound fractures and trying to hit somebody in a way that you end their career or worse. A fair hit is a fair hit... light that mother fucker up. I have no problem with that.

But the bullshit about going out on the field to end somebodies career or to approach a game with the intent of putting somebody in the hospital is not the sport I played or want to watch.

And I'm not even talking about the recent rules changes...

It is exactly this attitude that gets fans stabbed by opposing fans or sucker punched because you have the wrong hat on.

Thanks for your clarification - I did see the I was not offended.

But it did strike a nerve.

Having been in San Fran last week just around the corner from when another fan was killed after the Giant game And thinking about the Giant fan who has had his insurance run out and is now a vegetable for life because he got sucker punched at a Dodger game. And having spent time at raider games in Oakland - I have seen my share of the kind of "fans" that think its OK to hit - stab - grab somebodies wife or daughter in a crowd - sucker punch an opposing fan etc. They are the same ones that say the things you say to start your threads.

Have fun and joke around, its just hard to tell these days who is hiding behind all that raider makeup and rubber masks... is it a fucking asshole who you better look out for - or somebodies kid having a little fun?
