Thanks Brandon. How's yours coming? Going to have it ready for Desert Storm?
Who knows. Paint is still not done. Then I need to get it to your son in law after that.

Always enjoyed pics of your Cafe. Good luck with the sale!

I feel like moving from a 27’ to a 35’ like this would be just about the perfect progression move.

Ha! We went from a 24 Baja outlaw To a 38 cigarette top gun then to this cigarette 35 cafe racer. Now going back to another top gun or maybe 42 cigarette tiger. The jump isnt a big deal. A boats a boats a boat. You get used to what you run. Big or small or in between.

But yes! I agree. Perfect jump from 27 to 35. Come and get it! 😁👍

Dude, it’s not like a few years ago where everyone slows down in winter. He’s bangin’ ALL YEAR. zero down time.
Apparently. I wanted to have him look at something on my 43. No availability until May. Can't wait that long. Have to take it somewhere else.

Yeah. He hates making people wait but that is the foundation of the efficiency of the shop. Getting people in and out quickly is based off that appointment list. They try extremely hard not to double book and not to play favorites and bump people. “Emergencies” come up but they’re good at sticking to the program even if it means making good customers wait their turn.

His whole goal is to get people on a service routine where any issues are caught early, have those issues addressed so there is no “emergencies” and missed boating days.

^^^^

This!

When I had IO stuff, I had standing appointments at smart intervals. As we used the boats, we’d note little things that needed attention (always would need something) and they would pick it up, handle whatever issues there are, service as needed, and inspect wear items and serviceable components. Charge my card, and take back to storage. Worked great, never missed a day of boating, and honestly wasn’t terribly expensive.

Now back to selling a Cig so Tank can buy another! 😁

That full stagger straight bottom #6 boat is bad ass

GLWS

I would buy it but I don't trust your reputable mechanic
(kidding)
Lol. Thanks John. How’s things? What boat you running now?

And yeah, lock and load is bad ass. 1200HP a side makes me nervous but whatever. 😂😂 I want a #6 cig that runs over 100. If it all works out, I’ll grab it. If not, I’ll keep searching. Know if a couple others too. We’ll see.

No boat for the time being. Been working on an 89 porsche to keep my hands dirty. I have some changes in the works for this year so once those are all sorted out I will start looking again... Stay posted

Am I looking at some "Blown" motors like the ones you warned me about? ;)
😂😂 those motors were unknown and unknown history. I’m only looking at well documented well known history. 😉
What’s the interior cabin look like? @Tank
Damn. Funny thing, I only have one pic of the cabin and it’s mostly of the seadeck flooring. I need to take some pics. But this is what the 90-98 cafe racer cockpit looks like. Same as top gun as well. I’ve always considered it to be the absolutely best cabin it’s its class; two facing chairs with table in the middle on the port side, vee birth at bow, wrap around lounge in front of vee birth, that goes to starboard side, HUGE built in cooler and enclosed head. Lots of storage. Great cabin. We use it a lot to mix drinks, get out of the sun, chill. Kids dig it too. They actually ride down there quite a bit.

House down payment in Havasu!
No way man. Getting another cigarette asap. 😁

Place in Hawaii is on escrow. Slide that right over to a place in havasu. 😁👍

definitely on the short list. Got my eye on another big pfaff powered #6 gun in LOTO as well. One or the other if it works out. If not, I’ll keep searching. Wouldn’t mind having a zul powered Lipship 38 twin step gun either.

Was a fantastic boat! Never left me stranded not once. We’d get in it pin it and run needles bridge to havasu springs and back!

Just had it detailed and a new sun pad put on too. 😂😂🤦‍♂️

Thinga beauty.... somebody very lucky at that dollar. Will she stay in Ventura or Havasu or going places beyond? I hear stories about my purple Magic running off Kona. Be cool if you can stay in touch with new owner.

I just read this again and saw this. I hung out at desert storm with the guy that bought that boat. We were tied up together down past three dunes in a cove. He’s out of Vegas i believe. And yeah, you chose wisely not to have bought. He’s deep into it. It’s super nice now though. Everything gone through.

Just more good @Tank wisdom right there.... on more careful eyeballing just while it was on trailer it looked thrashed simply at the stern. nothing even close to your boats meticlulous cared for look. I never bothered to get up on a ladder ha.

Congrats Tank! On to the next! The chase is more fun than the ownership, and upgrading is always a bonus! Excited to see what you land with!

Thanks! Yeah, got my eye on a few things. We’ll see what happens. Lot of stuff going on right now so it’s not exactly a priority. But we’ll see what happens.
