for a box of Crackerjax ? Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy before the days of MP3 players, video games and such. I'm going thru a bunch of beautiful 8 x 10 inch glass plate negatives of kids portraits taken probably 100 years ago, this was one of them. I "hand colored" these with the old "marshalls heavy oils" useing q-tips & small brushes, kinda like painting by numbers and keeping inside the lines like my Momma taught me

Thanks for the compliments I did this one of " The Flying Merkel " at about the same time, maybe 20 years ago or so. The 1st one I painted green, took me about 10 or 12 hours and a "stack" of backup copies came out really nice.................then one day I'm watching good morning America and they're doing a story on old motorbikes, the guy is going on about the days gone by etc., and they pan to one of these Merkels :thumbsup the guy being interviewed goes on to say " only so many of these were made, and EVERY one of them was "ORANGE"
