Are the city of Redlands parking permits assigned to a vehicle or person? I want to trade cars with someone while they're parked to do some work on their car. I'd leave my car there and hang their permit while I'm doing their car. I don't want my car to get towed in the process.

I'm in Redlands often and never heard of parking permits. Is this for a closed city owned lot?

BTW, my wife worked for Redlands pd many years ago but I'm sure much has changed since then. So she may not know... I'll text her now and see if she can rain any light on the situation.

Technically I worked for the courts, my office was in the pd. I guess it all depends in the parking permit. If it's for an apt, it's usually for the vehicle. If it's a business, some businesses do it by the make of the car

I think Redlands has a 72 limit on street parking in residential areas but honestly it’s tough to enforce in residential areas as lots of people park their own cars on the street.

I never had a parking permit when I lived in Redlands for like 10 years but I was on the west side.

I am from Redlands and don’t know anything about the parking pass but they have a guy in a little Prius who drives around and takes pics of your sprinklers on when it’s not your day to water so they probably watch the parking pass thing as well

You can have the apt owner ask for a temp pass. My apt used to grant those. They only enforced the passes for overnight vehicles
