Speaker pods or a sound bar like what wet sounds offers is going to be your best bet

I have exactly what you are thinking, 6 inside and 2 our back. The stereo is factory with the speakers molded/cut into the rear fiberglass section.

You know what I'm going say...........

Wired 4 sound can hook you up on ideas and the best for what you do and kind of music you listen to.

I’m going to replace everything before summer with 7.7” alpine marine, add a couple 10’s and change the 12” to a ported box with big power.

That is very nice.........not to sidetrack the thread but just curious what kind of speeds (cruise and top) you see from that set-up.

Thanks! We are enjoying it. Big change from the Nordic, but fits what we do better. It has a 250 Verado and will do 40-42 all day, best ever was 45. I’ve made same changes/upgrades: added VesselView mobile, replaced the Bimini with a 3 color and mesh from Michelle ( nice and flat now), stereo is next this winter (factory stuff is just ok).

I'd give Michael Hughes at Speed of sound a call. He's done some stuff for me and I've been very happy. He does all of his installs himself. 928-680-6868. I have also had good luck with Car Toyz a couple years back. Michael just did my ski boat last month, great install and finished project with in a tight budget.

X2 on the wet sounds,. Anything with HLC technology. It's next level compared to 6x9's under a hatch. Just don't underpower them.

Are you sure you want to replace with the 7.7 alpine?? I think they discontinued them 2yrs ago.

Yep! The entire marine line is gone but still directly competes with today’s stuff. Not to mention I can order on amazon and do the entire stereo for $1500 compared to $5k+ quoted with basic Rockford, JL or Kicker. I just finished doing a buddy pontoon for $900: 2 pairs of 7.7, 1 type r 10”, PDX V9 amp and Sony headunit.

Got the 7.7” Alpine’s. Test fitting this weekend then ordering the rest of the new system. These are big and heavy.

Do you have any pics of your new mesh 3 color bimini that you had installed?

I had detachable ones that I could remove when needed with the wiring in the railing. It also allowed me to turn them to a desired direction on an as need basis.

It worked great. Just make sure to invest in quality products and balance it all out. Obviously the lower it is mounted to more that doesn't project outwards.
