Switched gears again= time to get concrete done before the rain.

The water meter /shut off/regulator were all crocked in the driveway and it hurts my eyes! Instead of digging it all up and re arranging it I decided to just put in a large box. I priced a Christy box at $ 1200 and decided to just build one for just over a hundo!

Also building a custom man gate.

Replacing all of the concrete driveway and widening it and adding walkway to the backyard with a curb.

My Volvo 1800 being repainted. My buddy is doing it, so it taken a long time, colour change and all. At least the body is totally rust free that's rare with these old cars. He texted me a video last night of the car fully painted. I'll repost this thread with more pictures when it's all done.;)

This what the dash looks like.I don't like the OEM steering wheel. The Nardi wheel I bought to replace it with, will look spectacular

So my wife saw some show on tv doing a geometric wall. She showed me and said she wants one in the guest bedroom. So this is what I did.

What’s the RDP discount code?

J/K, we’re gonna check it out for sure. Are you open yet? Will you have espresso? I asked for a shot in my coffee at another place up the street and the girl looked at me like I was speaking French.

Do you moonlight in a Texas coffee shop by chance?

"Espresso is the word borrowed from Italian to refer to coffee brewed by forcing hot water through finely ground usually darkly roasted coffee beans."

I didn’t like the geometry with the previous set up so I took the factory upper shock mounts cut the rivet tabs off then re welded them on so I could mount to the frame. Only got the driver rear complete. The passenger side rear is ready for next weekend.

Today was a day of successes.

I remember when I'd buy a new GM truck if you ordered the trailer tow package or just the hitch it came with a separate Trailer tow guidebook.

In the guidebook was taped a 30 Amp fuse if you wanted the truck to charge the trailer battery(s) you put the fuse in.

That way if you forgot to unplug the trailer at night you'd wake up with a dead truck battery and it was on you for installing the fuse.

So now GM trucks come with the fuse already installed. That thought was in the back of my pea brain.

Our new Truck was towing fine for almost 7.000 perfect-trailer-brake working miles. Then a towing brake module recall was done and suddenly we had no trailer brakes anymore. Terrifying.
Dealer service writer only looked at me with a blank 1000 mile stare. New module, again no brakes.

So I got to thinking and found that rogue fuse, removed it, and I have trailer brakes once again. I towed all over Simi Valley Yesterday and perfect.

Back-flowing power from the Toy Haulers solar system was corrupting the board. A problem the recall was supposed to correct, pulling the simple fuse did the trick.

Toy Hauler fuel dispenser fuel pump decide to not work.
I found their are 3 different programs for 3 different kind of controllers = nine different programs to simply turn the pumps on.

So I unplug & plug in the programmer and you have 8 seconds to program it to run right. Different lights flash and at those moments you have to push the left button then both buttons in proper order or vice versa when certain lights-light up,,,, then maybe ya got it right, or you are dead in the water with nothing and start over.

I finally hit it correct and it's now a simple turn on or off controller.

LJjOK1G.jpg

Was distributing the Proof of Insurance slips in the vehicles and noticed the new Toy Hauler wasn't listed on the slips.
Headed to AAA, sat down at the agents desk.
Agent said "Yeah, your Toy Hauler is not listed on the policy."

So I scrolled thru my phones emails and found all the AAA communications, photos and such from the first visit to AAA after I bought the TH,,, then the agent put our Toy Hauler on the policy.

I remember the first visit to AAA to put it on the policy back in May, me coming home and telling the wife the AAA Agent chick was disturbing, weird.
I found she was fired a few hours after I left the office and AAA never completed her days work.

Not the first time I've had goofy transactions at AAA. Strange women work there.

Isn't new technology just wonderful? Sooo many features/gadgets on the new shit supposedly to simplify our lives, and keep us safe... ½ of it isn't necessary. My new truck is almost annoying! Let me drive please, not the computer!

Momentum 398? We have a 2022 398. The new interior colors look nice & bright. That microwave is gonna shit the bed first. LOL! I'm going to pick mine up from storage today to get ready for willow springs next week. I need to replace the micro for the 2nd time. This time I'm going to upgrade and buy a convection micro.

My 57 Chevy. Waiting on fabricator buddy to install the cage; then finalize the body work and paint it. Garage build. Just pulled the 383 and dropped a big block in it last weekend. Video here:
kinda long, but small burnout at the end.
