The 1st year we went to Swansea and everyone complained that it was flat tracking the whole way..

Last year we camped at "The Tree" (locals term) and everyone had a blast, but some suggested alternate camping..

BTW, Adam tried to take some people to the Dessert Bar and said it was a hell of a trail.. They complained (and turned back) because it was too crazy.. :D

I was really happy with the camp spot last year, and I'm thinking I'd like to do it there again unless someone has a better suggestion? (the close proximity of the riding made it kind of fun I thought)

So here it is again, MARCH 5TH - 7TH 2011 is the date we did it last year.

Lets start figuring this thing out. If you have a suggestion for a different spot, I'm all ears..

I'm EXPECTING SkySkier and Digger etc.. to show up at 2011 as this was their brain child to begin with back in 09. :D

RD

.......I STILL think Bouse is "THE" destination to ride to :D me & Wheeler did a flyover last year and there's a HUGE wash accessible off midway that goes right into town, gas station an a restaurant/burger joint , IF somebody had mechanical problems, easy to a trailer over to it, AND, there's another HUGE wash from Bouse that runs all the way back to the Quartzite turnoff, so we could make it a big loop going back to Shea rd. around P mtn............

How far is it? That sounds like a 100 mile ride round trip? I was thinking more like 15 - 20?

What are you afraid of? :skull:skull

It's a BBQ cook off.. Go for a ride come back and eat. If we are gone from the morning until the night, nobody will have time to cook..

I'm afraid of not eating.. :D

That and people bring kids etc.. and the kids aren't going to want to go for that long, etc..

But most of all, I fear I will have to tow a Broken FU2 Rhino all the way back to camp 50 miles and that'll suck.. :D

you could probably cut it in half, ..........when me & Wheeler were flying / scouting I saw a couple of washes that run south out of Osborne wash towards Bouse :headscratch:..............we didn't have anybody on the ground to spot where you could cross at,..... it ALL looks different from "up there" .....................

You need to get Rodney (guy that puts on the St. Patricks day deal together) set up a "correct length loop" together and have at it. He knows the trails and can make a good run. The camp spot is fine and centrally located for peeps that have pads to stay at. No need to reinvent the wheel, just polish the rims and its good to go. On a side note, I'm really dissapointed there were no trophy trucks or rental cars

Chop it down a bit for sure, Rodney knows the trails. It would be really cool to get the taco guy to set up for a lunch break 1/2 way point, I'd throw out more ideas but the reality is the effort to put on some bomb ass shit won't happen:rolleyes:

If anybody want's to volunteer to be on the ground, I'll see if Wheeler would be willing to go up an spot one of the washes I'm talkin about. ......we'd also need a "ground crew" over off the Quartzite turnoff to scout the trail back. Riverratmike has ridden to Bouse going this route,....there's a powerline road that runs behind P mtn. all the way to the RR tracks
