Wheeling in the rain is always a blast. Until ya get real stuck...:skull
FJ looks great, Wes.:thumbsup
BTW... this is starting to look like the best all-around vehicle I have ever owned...
We got real stuck...Had the winch out once for myself, four times for others. So muddy and slick that if there was anything off-camber, you just ended up with gravity doing what it do...
Wes, whose roof rack is that? Did you set it up to accommodate the Rigid Industries lightbar?
Got a link to your build/mods?
It's a great vehicle no doubt. Great versatility - it can do most anything offroad AND get you there in comfort (and at 80MPH) unlike most Jeeps.
I've almost bought an FJ twice but still don't care for the outward visibility, windshield cracking and fender bulge issues.
Is there still talk about Toyota killing the FJ? I hear it every year.
Hey you pro's,
not to jump in on your thread but what air pressure do you run in light climbing, dessert running situations. I have 33x12:50 15's, no bead locks if that matters. Good looking cars guys. 6 more days till fun...... Thanks for the input. :thumbsup

Is that Corral Canyon OHV out by Pine Valley?
Never myself, but I have built half a dozen, put small blocks in two, and have wheeled with and in several very well built ones. My .02 is this... a well built Jeep will out wheel me on the very toughest trails, but mine is a FAR better high speed desert rig. Much nicer to drive day to day, power to tow, higher build quality, resale and overall satisfaction.Hey Wes, have you owned both a Jeep and a FJ? Just looking for an honest comparison. I own a tj and I am trying to figure out what to add to the fleet. Everyone I talk to has owned one or the other and swears theirs is the best.![]()

Much nicer to drive day to day, power to tow, higher build quality, resale and overall satisfaction. Jeeps are great wheeler though, with solid front axles, smaller footprint and body etc... if all I was doing, like a trail only rig, I would buy an older Rubi someone built. Drive daily, wheel weekends? FJ, twice. I would buy it again today. First car I have ever said that about.
I am not a hard core trail guy. So it sounds like the way to go would be a
Fj. I plan to keep the tj and add either a jeep or a Fj. Sounds like the fj may be the way to go for a daily driver. I have to say my tj sucks as a daily driver. But the wife likes it so she drives it daily. If sounds like the fj is not giving up much off road capability either. I play in the desert and do some easy trails and that's it. Thanks for the info. :thumbsup
Bronco Peak
This picture is running up hill in the same location. I did not really need the winch but I used it to get my door off the rock and try and keep the body damage down.
DaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmI have a little different take of Bronco Peak.
Coral Canyon is a bitchen place. Every single dent on my Jeep came for one hard day of wheeling a year or so ago.
