Here's my father when he raced SK back in the late 50's early 60's. This was his Rayson Craft, 130-SK. He also had an Aqua-craft. I believe he said the Aqua-craft was faster than his Rayson Craft in the straight aways but the Rayson Craft always turned better. I was told this was at Long Beach Marine Stadium but not totally sure. He knew Rudy really well.
My dad said he raced with guys like Vic Edelbrock, Joe Pody, Gary Primm, and others. I have a few color slides like this and then some black and white photos with a bunch of other SK boats in a race.
Holy shit, check out all those cool cars in the background! Mid to early 60's??
Great pic!
Here's another one. The engine in the photo was a Kieth Black hemi (built by the man himself), with old school zoomie dry stacks.
Awesome pics...NEW for 2024
