Being that I'm a new home owner, will there ever come a time that I won't be finding anything that I want to change, add on to, or improve around this damm place? :smackhead

No, the best way is to buy a place that is exactly how you want it, but if that is not possible buy a place that has the potential to be the way you want it.

Don't worry, when you get to that point, the wife will have a nice long list for you to start on.

the fucking shiat never ends. I wasn't even done with the other house and I bought another one that requires tons of work. I'm so fucked........

I am just the opposite, I designed my own home and moved in 9 years ago and have not spent a thousand dollars on it since. I did skimp in a couple areas like no granite but I'm not about to tear it out at only 9 years old. We are just starting to plan a 3 season room to replace our screen poorch on back.

Back then the $1,265 house payment seemed like a lot of money but now it is not quite so bad. Where I live most people were trying to keep the house payment at 15% of gross income per month. Seems low now.

Yes!! The last one you had, after you move out.

In your case, Mom and Dads....:D

I had my last house just how I wanted it, and then my wife got pregnant, with our second child, so I figured the one we were in would not be big enough. So I bought a bigger house, with a bigger yard. Now I have too much house, and way too much damn yard....:smackhead
Once the kids are grown and out of the house, I will want my old house back. I had it just the way I wanted it.
Of course, by the time they are gone, I will probably have this one dialed in too!!:smackhead:swear

I had always wished I kept my first home and just bought toys instead of investing in bigger and better housing.

A few divorces later,, I managed to keep a home, the Cracker Palace AKA Crestfallen Manor, and made good on my idea to just buy toys instead of dumping more into our living space.

Wifie agrees.

I especially like it when you are deep into an expensive mod or improvement, and the water heater goes out. Or similar crap.

I'm getting close to being finished with all the things we (my wife) :D wanted to do around here. We more than doubled the size of the house and completely remodeled the inside over the last couple years. At least I got a nice house and a new boat in the deal.:beer

The process SUCKED!

I can't believe you asked that question. We moved into a 2 year old home, and already my wife has had me change out all of the flooring and window coverings in the entire house, re-paint the inside, buy all new furniture and appliances because what we had did not match, and now I am looking at putting in a pool and landscaping the backyard!

I don't even know if I will get to enjoy that as she is already bitching about the fixtures in all of the bathrooms!

The short answer....if you were a single guy, yes. If you are getting married or already are, then no!

And have a gas and fast track bill that is more than my house payment? No thanks. ;):skull

LOL.... I only use Fastrak on Fridays. And yes, gas does suck. I guess that makes up for the difference in payment on the home price. :thumbsdown:D

With the home prices out there right now it would probably equal out to what I'm paying now when you factor gas in the equation.

On the flip side. Gas is less from here to the river. Too bad I never go. :D
