Saw this on CL. Might be worth checking out if anyone is in the market. Boat looks pretty clean. Sucks for the owner I guess.

Just watched the video , will need an impeller after the dry start 🤣 🤣

Wow, losing three storage units and their contents. Wonder why the guy didn’t just divest himself of that stuff on his own?

Damn, wonder what happened to the Sprinter. 😁

We had our Magic at Active storage in fort Mojave for a few years. He said our boat was kept up front because we were one of few that used it regularly. Said most of the boats had been there for YEARS without anyone ever touching them. They paid the rent though.

I have done ebay auctions for vehicles and done very well but somwthing about a bankruptcy auction gives me a bad feeling. That and the 7.75% tax and 18% buyers fee.

Yea that 18 percent buyers fee is questionable.

Use to be risk and fees were all calculated in the auction price that most would bid.

While that hasn’t been the case for several years with cheap money floating around. I suspect some deals may present themselves in the near future.

Bought a Detomaso Pantera at Federal auction many years ago. Was pleasantly surprised when DMV didn’t charge any sales tax on it.

I’ve seen that boat on the road as well at the river many times over the years. My question is how does someone go about losing their expensive possessions over a storage fee. Even crazier is obviously it’s all paid off or wouldn’t the bank repo and auction on their own behalf?

It was lost due to a bankruptcy and the auction company will sell the possessions, pay the bank the proceeds, and collect their 18% on top.

You’ll never see a bank hosting an auction… although my bank does have a repossessed collateral site that you can buy used equipment from. 😂

Nice looking boat actually, 18% buyers premium tho!

No kidding plus sales tax.

These auctions always seem to run away from a good deal. I stopped buying at the powersports auction in Poway, it got ridiculous

Probably gonna start seeing more and more of these type of things. 15-18% auction fees are standard.

Most people would sell the boat and live off the proceeds for a few months and then BK. I'd at least have one last fling in Vegas with the money

Auction was yesterday. Last I saw, they had a pre-auction bid of $44k. Not sure what winning bid was. Ad was up on Coast Motor Group within hours of the closing.

Crazy shit happens all the time. Could’ve died in a car accident, an illness, their business went under, etc…

Nice boat though. Someone is going to be stoked.

How does one keep track of these things?

Like where should I watch to see if there’s something I want?

Do you need a dealer license to participate usually?

I was all set up to bid online, but was scared off by the potential risk of the unknowns. Pictures don’t always tell the true story. Kind of kicking myself for not trying. Might have to throw an offer at CMC for the boat now.

Kind of looks like he banked on some new deal in his business and it didn't work out, sucks for him for sure.

It is my pleasure to announce I have rolled A.R.D. Marketing and it's plastic card mail products to RedStone Print and Mail. After 20 years of owning and operating A.R.D. Marketing we will now work under the umbrella of RedStone Print and Mail. RedStone brings 3 locations and over 300,000 square feet of print and mail production.

I will be creating and managing a new Credtit Card Mail Division for RedStone. Paper, plastic, laminated, embossed, DOD, digital... All products produced in house using top of the line digital printing, die cutting, laminating and DOD ink jetting. Laminated Pop-Out postcards too!

Get your art ready to start producing your credit card mail early September 2024!

I bid on this auction... It went for way more than I was willing to spend. It's nice a nice boat but not worth breaking the bank for.

Same here!!! Although I knew it was a long shot, it was a cheap entry fee to maybe get lucky. I had a number in my head, and when it surpassed that in minutes, I was out. I thought the sell price was nuts, but the new listing price is way out of my comprehension.

The number in my head was surpassed once I saw the pre-auction bid of $44k, not including the 18% auction fee and 7.75% tax.

Gear lube tank and trim tank look bone dry. Seems weird. Clean looking boat and trailer though.

Yeah, I didn't know the hours on it.. Was that listed? I looked to see what it sold for at auction and can't see what it sold for. Maybe 50K?

I didn’t see the hours listed either. Auction site said they wouldn’t disclose closing bid price. There was a video of some guys running it…dry…🤦🏻‍♂️. Who knows how many other times that was done. I know there was a pre-auction bid of $44k before it went to live bid on Oct. 8. If the hammer dropped at $50k, that means there was an additional $12,500 on top of that, so $62,500ish? Or maybe the pre-auction bid held for $44k, which would be around $55k? CMC has it up for $74,900 and I am sure they will go through it with a fine tooth comb and make sure it’s right.
