PT Mugu air show

Anywhere to watch at grab a beer? I assume the planes aren’t flying by Neptunes Net.

Not really. The flight paths stay close to the base. Weather may be tough today for flying, but they have contingencies for low altitude demonstrations as long as visibility allows.

My wife went yesterday. We live in Camarillo and it took her 2.5 hours to get to the base gate. They said it was well worth the wait!

We watched it from the water on Saturday. Great show!

We went yesterday (Saturday). Kind of wish they had more aircraft on display. Shows at Edwards have had a lot more too look at. Being Pt. Mugu, this one was more Navy-centric though and they don't have quite the same variety of aircraft the Air Force does.

Parking was a shit show, but I guess this is the first time they've done this show in 8 years and they expected 250K+ people at this one.

Great performances by the Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels.

Curious to know if the show happened in its entirety today. Weather wasn't supposed to be as good as yesterday.

We went on Friday and it was kick ass. Light crowd of about 5k maybe. Military and first responder day. I have a shut load of pics I need to down load. I’ll post em when I get a chance.

This was only the 3rd time on history the blue angels and the thunderbirds flew same show. I gotta say, blue angels always my favorite but I was REALLY impressed with the thunderbirds. They put on a fantastic show.

ran into Paul all the time in Malibu. At the time he was driving a single cab long bed tundra. Such a genuine guy and I’m so sorry that he was killed so soon. He was larger than life and also “one of

The only plane that scratched their performance was the AT-6 - wind kicked up around 2 and it was too much for him.

The cloud ceiling was too low to fly loops so they flew the low program. Still a great show

It’s called the “Guadalasca Trai” It’s an offshoot of Sycamore canyon in NP.

It was a B25. They were the last performance of the day.
