Obviously he, and all 65ft of truck was in his blind spot:rolleyes:

F'rs don't use mirrors I guess. Yesterday I saw an asphalt tanker at a stoplight. RH side had a big jockey box open, 3x3ft or so. He was maybe a mile or two from the yard. Could easily kill a pedestrian..

2 weeks back, where it goes down to 1 lane. Trucker was blocking left lane a mile before merge. Guy in a truck towing a boat goes around him half in lane half in shoulder. Rest of traffic follows.
trucker waited until the merge, made a hard left into dude w boat. Literally side swiped truck and boat. Boat trailer wheels locking up on impact. Took mirror off truck. I was blown away. Dude towing boat, few younger guys, yelled at truck driver, dude in truck let off and flipped em off. I was in disbelief this fucker just did that shit risking his cdl because guy didn’t obey him blocking lane a mile back. Get along side , and would you believe truck driver was an ex taxi driver. Wish I had camera recording it all, I would gladly turn over the footage.

They used to be real professionals... Now they're more like the Romanian "professionals" in their trucks. I remember driving through Romania 5 years ago and on this mountain road with sheer cliffs, in the rain, at night, we got passed by a gas tanker truck. I'm an amateur race car driver and am not scared of speed or cliffs, but I didn't have the deathwish/balls to follow the guy at his pace.

Modern truck drivers are flat out dangerous, they do whatever the hell they want. I actually took video the other day of a guy running 90+ mph coming down chiriaco grade (which is a construction zone at the moment) in the the number #2 lane. I finally caught the guy, wrote down the DOT number off the side of the truck and sent them the video.

Modern truckers are nothing like the ones from days past, this new generation drives without regard for others and without class

Truckers need to stay out of lane #2, that's for towing boats & RVs.

20 years ago, I was running with a pack of them on the 40. I dipped out at 100. Never saw them for the rest of my trip.

Once again my recent cross country drive reminded me that most of the over road trucks these days seem to be driven by people that grew up driving in this traffic.

They have carried their experiences from their youth and culture into our world here in the US and our roads.

Sadly the commercial drivers these days are not the courteous professionals that used to populate our highways.

Craziest motherfuckers I’ve ever seen (when I was driving truck) or pulled over, are NASCAR hauler drivers. Jesus they haul ass. Safe, but fast.
Yes we run! 🤣 got away with murder when I was driving for the race teams. Got pulled over a couple times just for swag and tours of the rig when I thought I was screwed.🤦‍♂️

My old rigs. Sorry if I blew any of your doors off 😜 good thing @SOCALCRICKETT never saw me I would have got reported 🤣

The truth is that is a double edge sword. Just being realistic, the trucks being limited to 55mph in california is foolish as well. With the flow of traffic going 80 and trucks limited to 55 means a 25mph approach speed, that makes for an opportunity for a screw up.

With that being said, I can't support these guys pushing triple digits all while moving 80-90k pounds down the road. That is simple physics, it's the rule of kinetic energy, double a vehicles weight it doubles the kinetic energy, double a vehicles speed and quadruple the kinetic energy.

Just like anything else in life, common sense and moderation should be priority

Dude, what a bitchin job to have!
It was a lot of work, but while at work other than race day, you could be in board shorts flip-flops with a cocktail in hand while you’re working. I also had the raddest boss anyone could ever ask for if you have to work for somebody, so that always made it great.

Highway patrol must’ve been around, wonder why they were running so slow?🤣
