Being from the south in the 60-70's that title always sounds so wrong to me...

Edit: was never a part of it though...:p

We just ate dinner at a local Mexican restaurant, and the tournament was being shown on the bar's TVs. It was ignored by everyone at the bar.

The American Cornhole League. Who the heck watches this? The players have sponsors, and Johnsonville sponsors the series. Like ONE-A-DAY, I wanna know how much the players get paid. Did anyone catch mention of prize money?

There's a lot of competition for the dumbest sport shown on ESPN2, but I think this has to be the winner.

Wonder what the “official rules” are. Every time I play cornhole the rules are different.

“Professional Cornholer” - not sure i would want to be one.

Pretty impressive to watch, prolly 90% of their throws go in the hole.

I came across it a few months ago and was thinking what a joke. But I actually watched it for some reason and it was entertaining.

As crazy as it sounds, they make even more with endorsements, someone like Matt Guy has a shirt like a damn poker run "team" . I have met a few people at tournaments that move around quite a bit chasing tournament purses, its crazy. When my local bar let me keep a set there for a few years, I always considered it my ATM machine, if I needed some cash for the bar tab there was usually someone with a loud mouth and an ego that could go for a game.

Golf is considered a sport, curling is in the Olympics. So corn hole as a competition; sure.
