The wife and I will be staying in Prescott in a couple weeks. We have never been there before. We would like to go out to a nice steak dinner one of the nights. Any recommendations?

The Dry Gulch or Murphys is probably the best two. If you go to Dewey which is just outside Prescott Leftys is very good.
Thanks for the info. FYI we are staying at the Hotel St. Michael.

We did the Peacock room for breakfast and Murphy‘s for dinner. There was a bar with patio on second floor which is near Harley. We also saW an interesting area by the Hilton Garden Inn. Looked to be an old train trestle bridge. Should you go check it out for us? 😁

I thought the bistro was good.. feel like if you are a tourist you need to go to the palace. Farm Provisions was really good, and the service as amazing. Something not fancy but one of the better places i have eaten there was BIGA's

If you don't mind a little drive, Nic's Italian Steak and crab house in Cottonwood is definitely worth it. Cottonwoods food scene is much better than what we have here in Prescott. Pretty quick drive if you go over the mountain through Jerome.

Well 75% of Preskit is from California.
I think that number may be low now

That is an old trestle from the old line. About 200yds east is the old rail station, I think a real estate office now.

Yep Cottonwood is fun. Had dinner in town after a yak float down to the winery on the Verde. Cool place.

3rd grade through 6th grade I had free roam of town. I would ride my bike from one end of town and back daily. Remember going out on the old train trestle and exploring the abandoned train station bunches of times. Early 80s.

I kind of have an update. A lot of the nicer places are closed on Mondays. Yesterday was obviously a Monday...and also my 24th anniversary. I had to cross reference and find out who was open 🤣
We ended up south of Whiskey Row, at "Lazy G's Brewery". Good food and service, but sandwiches and appetizers, not steaks.

Me and fam will be out there the 3rd-8th. Have tix to the rodeo on Thurs. We usually hit Leftys with the in-laws and have a great time but this time would like to try something new. May use some of the rec's and see what else is out there. The only craft beer spot in PV is gone now (wasnt very good anyway) so will have to find another one lol

With all the wealth moving into town you would think the market for upscale dining would evolve. But being most are retirees perhaps they are just looking for the best blue plate special.

Rodeos gotten to big for me in Prescott. Too much traffic, but when I get a room in town, its not bad.
