With three kids I doubt we are gonna get a chance to check out whiskey row. But we will check out what we can.

Haha funny just came back from there. Hit up Founding Father's and the Palace. Don't eat at the Palace though. Food isn't great.

Kids are harder on Whiskey Row. We used to play pool in some of the bars but under 21 is not allowed after a certain time

Although I am not a buyer of antiques the stores there are great. Lot of old stuff. Well. That’s redundant😀

We love the pupu platters at the canton dragon in pv. Order a zombie. 😀 The office restaurant downtown has great sliders. Been awhile so not sure now. Same owner as dambar in Kingman

It’s been warm/hot lately, bring your sunscreen. Courthouse & Plaza is directly across the street from Whiskey row. Try Bills pizza off of Cortez, east side of plaza. Ice cream joint, can’t remember name, on Gurley, North side of Plaza. Sharlot museum on Gurley is pretty cool if your into western history.
The pace is pretty slow especially with the heat setting in.
I‘m working the Courthouse/Plaza Wednesday-Friday this week, I’ll keep an eye out for you when I rotate outside to the Plaza.

What do you mean working the courthouse? We are here for a few days so we will stop in and say hello

The palace.. total tourist restaurant/ bar.. I could totally see myself drinking in here and other bars around here though.. old west type stuff - love it

This place opened in 1877 according to the sign on the door.. according to a book Sierra bought it said 1883.. but I Jist read it burnt down in 1901 so who knows.

Rad old pics everywhere on the walls from doc Holliday at the palace to you name it.

The Raven has great food. I like BIGA too. Take the kids to Lynx lake. It’s a short drive, there is a German restaurant there you can eat and drink some spaten. You’re close to Jerome and Sedona.

If you are bored you can check Potato Patch. Area of summer cabins up in the pines about 30 minutes away. Quick drive up Senator highway. You can loop right back to Prescott by the Costco

My wife and I moved to Prescott 5 years ago, absolutely love it here! I thought I would get tired of a small town quickly, but it’s been non stop good time. I am bar manager at the legion, 3 blocks from Whiskey Row. Enjoy!😎

For some reason my phone is really struggling to upload pics.. I’ll upload as I can. We came back to the cabin Jist to make sure the dog is ok and we r heading back out to downtown again right now. It’s about 6 minutes from where we r staying.

Plaza bowl isnt far from downtown if you're looking for kid entertainment. Theres also a trampoline place at the mall as well as some other type of venue with all sorts of indoor sports stuff.

The picture show movie theater allows alcohol inside if you wanna watch a flick with kids or you can buy a beer there and the seats are comfy.

The ice cream shop on the square is a good spot to stop with the kiddos.

You can always take your kids to explore future summer camp possibilities? There are many. I sent my daughter to horseback camp near Prescott. It’s the only summer camp she actually did twice. She really enjoyed it. They had zip lines and a lot of other stuff too. It was for several weeks, each summer. Might have been a month. I can’t remember. Lol

I keep trying to remember. I’ll ask my wife when she gets home. We did approx 7 different summer camps over the years. Most were in Northern Arizona.

The Prescott camp was the closest to Phoenix, but by far the favorite. It’s huge. Many acres of land with no neighbors in site. It has a full horse arenas too. Cabins, lodge, campfire amphitheater, hiking trails, horseback trail rides daily, lots of bling. Pricey, but I didn’t care. Lol

I know my daughter will remember what the name is.

Looks like a nice place to escape the heat.

Love the flagstone "turret" on the side of the place. Does it have a spiral stair case inside?

It strange how it’s a small but medium sized town at the same time. Feels like growing up in 1980’s to me.

Take the kids to the The Waffle Iron for breakfast 😋.
Loved that place as a kid. Would always make it a point to eat there when I'd go visit my mom and grandma as an adult.
Been 8 or so years since I've been.
Grandma like The Rose restaurant.

I suggest you try Zeke's if you get a chance. Also Murphy's for the appetizers at happy hour.

The owner of zekes is also tied to Havasu i believe like she winters there or something she is auper funny and mega conservative!

So we took the dog today and by the time we got back down to the square a lot of the shops were closed.. we walked around and love this place!

They had some outside music thing going on in the grass.

Tomorrow we r going to check out some of the lakes..

The internet is very very slow uploading pics downtown. Seems faster at the cabin for some reason.
