Do any of the boating guru's here know who currently has or is building the Predator Hulls? It is a California Performance hull.
According to the threads, Neil at SDPM built them under the Predator brand and then sold the molds. Jason Rouse ended up with the mold and I believe he ended up selling it to Bill at California Performance.Do any of the boating guru's here know who currently has or is building the Predator Hulls? Hey Scott,
Bill Scotten has the molds for both the Rouse and California Performance. He is a very good friend of mine, let me know if you need his contact information.
Cheers!

A lot of us lost our first boats to houses. I heard different opinions about the 18' vs the 19'? Is there that much difference? Which is the preferred and why? If this is a thread jack I'll start another one.
Not to hi-jack, but waaaaaay back in 82-83 Tommy Papp and I built an 18' Winger that was an Earl Smith boat out of Texas. I believe most if not all Wingers came from this early design. It was a quick little SOB and we ran at several of the campsites near the I10 out of Blythe. Some of you old timers from Water Wheel and McIntyre might remember it. Lil Tuffy, Blue with about 5 miles of pinstripes. Damn I wish I would have kept that boat but our first house won out over that money pit.
Thanks for letting me rehash "The Good Old Days"
The one that has a “dangerous” reputation is the 18 Tunnel hull bottom. It’s has been known to make quick turns and pitch a few people. That is why you see the sponsons extended in the front. But a very fast hull.was it the earl smith design with the "Straight Sides" those were cool looking boats, but for some reason Dangerous....

You’re thinking of the Texas Tunnel and they’re something like a 16’, not the 18’ or 19’ wingers.
You forgot to mention it has a small block (with hair dryers) in it. Hauls Ass thoThere’s a 19’ that runs 5.56 to 1000’ at NJBA..... I once saw an 18’ win the 8 second 1/4 mile class there too...
The CP hulls are bad ass
16' Texas Tunnel. Quick little buggers. You’re thinking of the Texas Tunnel and they’re something like a 16’, not the 18’ or 19’ wingers.
That picture show's the width of the 19'. In mine those front seats damn near touched each other. I'd love to have a 19' but seriously doubt I could get this old fat body up in the darn thing.

Are the CP's available in open bow?Great boat but I want an open bow.
Not me but used to go play with the guys at Lost Lake. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose. I didn't have the funds to go the puffer way towards the end of ownership of Tuffy and got picked on a lot. Them blower jetboats started getting fast and just not quick!!Were you the guy that used to come up to Big River and run Kenny in that orange boat in the evenings?...was probably late ‘80s.
They weren't made to look impressive, they were made to haul ass and that they did and still do. Pack a little air under them wings and hold on, shit's about to get real!!!!There's is no style at all to those hulls! They are so just square. Really are quite ugly, IMO. But they are fast!
I know where there is a open bow cp , it’s a jet an has some glass work that needs repair. Will c if it’s for sale ???
Appreciate it but I am looking specifically for the O/B.
Those are great looking boats , and haul ass . For River duty I'll take a 19' cp easy 4 seater, skies , cooler.I'd argue and say the TPR 19 is the best looking hull in that size range.
