A dozen year's back my kids and I were in the YMCA Indian Guides. It was basically a group of dads and kids that went camping and learned about cool nature and indian stuff.

Every month would be a meeting of the "tribe" and the boys would make a craft, or a car out of a wood block...old time scout time stuff.

Our group tended to drink too much, and after a bit the kids ran wild. It was great fun for all of us.

At one of our meetings the craft was built in the guy's garage. It involved attaching something with hot glue guns.

I don't remember what we were supposed to make, but I found myself alone in my friends garage with a hot glue gun....

So I hot glued all his tools to his work bench. LOL :D

My father in law tells me some good Navy stories too. He tack welded one guys lunchbox to the floor.

One year, the day before my Junior year in high school, we snuck onto campus and took down all the bells, and all the room numbers. No one knew where to go, or when to change classes... :skull

Ya got any practical joke stories?

We played some good jokes on each other when i was doing electrical work.
Ram set their tool bucket to the floor.
Open the manual down on the scissor lift just a crack so it bleeds real slow and when they leave to tell the foreman the lift is broken you have put it back :D
Make their scissor lift only turn one direction.
Fill their tool pouch with the knockouts from electrical boxes youve been saving all day.

Years ago at a retail outlet I worked at, we would send the FNGs out to the head reciever at the loading docks to get a wallspace. He would always ask them what size they wanted, and back they'd come. Good clean fun...:D

Mom was ship's welder during WWII in Portland OR. The FNG's assigned to each welder were told to go half way down the dock between the generators and the welders. They were told that the long runs of wires made it difficult for the electricity to pass through. The FNG's were to pickup their welders cables and shake them up over head to allow the electricity to 'flow' through the cable.

Flash forward a couple of decades to me as a kid (maybe 9 or 10 years old). Mom made lots, maybe all of my shirts as well as Dad's shirts. She was an at home seemstress. I had a pair of PJ bottoms that needed some kinda repair. She repaired them and while at it, sewed a seam straight across at one knee. Days later when I tried to put them on (my room was right next to the kitchen) I got one leg in then started hopping around my room thinking WTF is......then 'thud' to the floor I went.

She's been gone for 10 years but I can still hear that faint "tee-hee" coming from under my bedroom door.

Take box spring out from under mattress. Turn upside down. Place on top of mattress. Remake the bed.

Winning.
