He has been building this for awhile. Turned out super clean.

Removed the leaf springs in back, did some killer suspension, new interior and brakes. Bad ass truck and ready for some new power.

That thing's killer !
My Pops has the exact same truck (stock) same color, factory posi in the rear end, same tonneau too!
I think it's a 2003 and just turned 100K miles.
He's gonna trip when I show him this ! Those wheels look perfect for it too !👌

I love that. I want a 90s one Chevy with a 454 bad. White 4 door short bed. A buddy of mine had a white dually slammed with big rig rims and it had a 454 stick shift. Was all tricked out so clean and he let it go for 7k back in 2017. Would probably get top dollar for it now.

Nice looking truck, I prefer that 1st Gen front end NBS over the cat eye when it comes to single cabs. One day I would love to have one with a turbo on it.

Found this last night and offered it to Budman but he didn’t reply. I can’t find the funds at this time so maybe a RDP member can snatch it up. Then maybe in the next year I can come up with the $40k that it will be worth at that time and buy it from said member for myself. :rocking:

This truck currently has a 4.3L V6, but the transmission was recently done as he is getting ready to do a swap to a V8.
The 4.3 trans may need to either use a torque converter spacer or have the bellhousing swapped to get the crankshaft spacing correct, as the 4.3 uses the old SBC / BBC crank flange spacing, whereas the 4.8 / 5.3 / 6.0 motors have a shallower crank measurement. If he needs any help sourcing parts, swap harness, ecm etc give me a call. Done a bunch of these in the past.

I got out of the GM truck world in the middle of NNBS, have they continued it on to NNNBS and now NNNNBS? or maybe RNBS (really new body style)

No, most go by the model platform designation for the newer trucks.

OBS/GMT400 1988-1999
NBS/GMT800 1999-2006
NNBS/GMT900 2007-2013
GMT K2XX 2014-2019
GMT T1XX 2020-2021

Nice looking NBS. Any info on the suspension? Interesting setup
looks like the Ridetech coil over kit. They ride and handle pretty good. I got my buddy one for his 92 short bed.

It is the RideTech kit. All air now.

Will ask him what he's doing with the parts.

Yeah just a stock LS3. Ordered it brand new from GM.
That will haul ass.
One thing - if he hasn't had these 2 plastic connectors swapped out on the heater hoses, have them swapped ASAP. They get very brittle and break at the most inopportune time. They are like $5 each, super easy to change. I've had 7 of these trucks, after it happened to 3 of them I noticed a pattern.....lol

Still have the 4L60 in it? I saw you said it was rebuilt, I'm hoping it was beefed up substantially as well?

Im running a 4l60 behind my LS3 with 580hp / 7200rpm shifts . . .
Haven't killed it yet!

If you leave some torque management in the tune for the shifts, they will hold a decent amount of power - despite what disgruntled internet posters may say

They don't like bigger tires. I went through 2 trannies in my '01 with a stock 5.3 before I had it rebuilt like a brick shithouse. Nice to have that peace of mind.
