I’m weird about fenders on boat trailers.. lol. Last time I posted this some people were saying “who cares”. To keep the trailer is part of the package and if the trailer looks like shit the package looks like shit. If the package looks like shit than why even bring your shit out of the hood.. might as well light it on fire if you aren’t gonna take care of it.

Well years of being in the garage and three kids living to touch shiny stuff etc.. I spent about three weeks making these things look like mirrors five or so years ago.

I sold the boat and I’m not gonna go through all the wet sanding stages etc.. They were just a little dull and I wanted them to look good for the new owner.

Went and got some meguiars and my dual action jobby.. a cutting pad, spread the juice set it on medium and leaned on it with medium to heavy pressure..

The results are impressive for how little time I took.

Sweet, Looks Great!!!

I did mine last week also... 16 years outside storage.... two days of labor brought the shine back on both.. (I lucked out, I have a detailer in the family. Gave me to use, dual action, single action, two parts of compound and polisher, 6 pads. 13 man hours LOL)

Looks great. Its crazy how many people out there will say something like "why are you polishing a trailer? its just a trailer..." Also I dont know what it is about triple axle polished fenders but *EVERYONE* tries to use them as a step and it drives me batshit crazy.

Next time use blue painters tape when you wax/polish anything to mask off areas. I see a bunch of spots on that carpet from the paste. Trim, rubber, plastic, etc dont like paste waxes and leave little white spots everywhere. You dont need to be ultra precise with it either.

It's nice of you to put in the effort to keep it pristine even though you are selling it. 👍

I’m going to get a triple axle trailer soon. Just wondering if chrome or stainless fenders ? I have chrome wide fenders on my boat trailer now and it’s easy to maintain except rocks hitting the face of the fenders. Adrenaline will be doing the trailer. I really haven’t got into to talking to them about it . Probably will talk to them this summer for a winter build . It’s mainly for looks since it’s a 21 foot boat. Any thoughts ?
