The garage flooring thread got me going and I am now looking at doing my garage here in Havasu.
I just spoke to the guy that did my house and garage floor in CA and he is willing to come out to Havasu. Price is typically $5.50 SF but that could come down a bit if we can line up additional work while he is in town.
Process is to grind and hone the floor, filling of the control joints and any imperfections, dye stain (color of your choice) and lithium densfiy top wear coat.
polished concrete does not get slippery when wet and the top coating will not crack, bubble or chip like urethanes. This floor will last. Concrete should be in fairly good shape for best results.

Let me know if you are interested.

Honed garage. Color on this floor is black

Looks good. I like polished concrete floors. A friend did his whole house in concrete that looks like hardwood flooring. You half to touch it to see it’s not wood.

You can call Kelly direct at ‭(530) 823-3056‬ with any questions.
We won’t get this floor for $3 SF but you will get a better product and it will last forever.

Yikes --- $5.50 a square foot for buff & seal on a garage floor? Sorry but that sounds super high to me, but what do I know? My 1500' Garage would be $8,250

Just had my garage in Prosper, Tx. quoted and it ranged $4.99-5.15 a sq. ft. for the same process w/ epoxy. I too thought it sounded high but we had 4 people come out and look at the project. 🤷‍♂️

I have a guy in havasu starting my garage floors this upcoming Monday. He is charging me 3.50 a square foot for epoxy. I asked about the same floors in the garage pictured above and he said he and the guy he used to work for, I want to say (Advanced Garage) but I could be wrong dont do that anymore because the moisture problems in havasu below the concrete pops the sealer and is a never ending issue. Just FYI. I decided to stick with epoxy we will see. Ill post pics when its complete.

I believe I spoke to the same guy today as well. Sunrise Epoxy? He mentioned a member from here sent him the picture of my garage floor I posted looking for someone to do polishing.
He was thinking of the grind and urethane top coating. Which yes, you could have issues with moisture using this process.
Coating with lithium densifyer allows the floor to breath. The only potential issue would be if your concrete has moisture and shows efflorescence. If you get this now, then it will still be an issue later. In this case an epoxy floor using a moisture barrier would be a better route if efflorescence is visible and you want to seal it up.
The $5.50 SF is for him to travel and only do my floor. Which is not to far off from what I have been quoted for epoxy In CA. I have yet to have any Havasu contractors quote this. If I can get another floor or two to jump on board this will be a better price for all.
With epoxy it’s all in the prep and quality of the product used and even then you will get longer life out of polished concrete.

Howdy, neighbor. We're about 10 miles north of you. Five bucks/sq ft sounds about right for this area. But all construction seems to be astronomical these days. Be glad you're not pouring concrete. Ouch.

Really happy with how the floor turned out. Had the cracks filled as well. Dont mind the other work going on (drywall patch, water heater, paint). But you inmates get the idea. 👍

Looks great. I believe there are only 2 guys doing this in Havi, the Advanced co (I believe out of business now) guy and Vic. They both do a great job but Vic is my dude so he gets all my work and he does a shit ton for home builders and comes highly recommended in alot of local circles.
