Just an FYI.
If anyone is looking for one of these the RideNow dealer in Goodyear Az. Has one on his lot this afternoon. It was supposed to be mine but I canceled my order today. Donavan was my sales guy.

Nothing machine related, I still have one coming from the Midwest.

The new Ranger Crew is pretty fancy with more whistles and bells than the Xpedition. More $$ also.

You know how I know I’m poor?

My ‘22 F250 was 53k and I get sad when it has dust in it. Somebody is going to buy this UTV and beat the shit out of it and laugh.
Don't worry. There are people like me hoping the next few owners of trucks like yours take half as good of care as you do...so we'll have a chance at owing something decent down the road 🤣

Good plan to dump that order, they are nothing but rattle traps, horrible loud to ride in. The Polaris Ranger is the hot ticket if you want that kind of luxury.

Well plans changed and deals changed.
Ended up driving from Havi to Goodyear on Friday to pick up my Xpedition.
Long day, 9hrs round trip. Dealer was a bit unorganized to put it mildly.

Quick report after playing with it over the weekend.

Overall I am very impressed..
On the road driving around town, outside temps were 102, the ac kept the cabin very comfortable, a bit warmer in the rear seats. This will probably become my daily driver when in town.
GPS top speed was 71mph, much faster than you need to go in these things.
The stock stereo is pretty amazing.
Was very worried about the off-road performance but after taking it out in the sand and on the trails I was able to “mob” it pretty good and it was very comfortable. Plenty of power and suspension. No more worries about that.
It is heavy at 2800lbs and does feel a bit top heavy, you will have to pay attention if/when in the sand dunes.
The cabin is sealed quite well, followed friend in razor for about a 1/2hr and no dust was in the cab, like didn’t even need to wipe it down inside after the ride.
Ac/heat/comfortable and clean was the main reason for this purchase and that worked very well.
Hopefully the belt will hold up and not have to be replaced often, changing the belt will be a chore on this.

Overall all I am very impressed and I think these will become very popular.

Can’t wait for all the aftermarket goodies to start showing up.

The only negative that I found was that it is quite loud in the cab, the stereo fixed that for now but I am sure this will be resolved in the aftermarket world.

Pics of her at her new home.

Crawling a jeep will out perform this, on the trails a jeep can’t touch these things.

After reading this, i will go ahead and fuck off, and be poor somewhere else. 56k is what I spent on my Dooley. Still have it. No way that truck will still be serviceable, and in the same shape in 12 years like my truck.

Pretty comprehensive walk around. As someone who is in this demographic, I like the changes. I've had a 2018 Northstar Crew and currently have a 2020. I upgraded because the 2018 cab was very primitive. Noisy, dusty, the doors didn't really close right. The windows tipped out, no stereo etc. The 2020 has power windows up front only. This vehicle is a big leap from my 2020. Not enough for me to upgrade yet. I think there will be even more stuff coming out soon. The fold down rear seats is suer cool for overnighting. The shocks are an obvious upgrade as well. The rearward opening doors are a giant upgrade IMO.

I am loving mine more every time I take it out. I am sure more of these will be showing up in our group. They are very comfortable and they have enough power and suspension to have fun on the trails.

I like the little camper shell deal.

Friend had a set of Pro R stock 32" tires that I swapped out for the 30's that come stock on these. Nice easy upgrade.

I was going to ask, it looks like you did a tire swap. It looks really good on 32s with those wheels. Any clearance issues?

No clearance problems at all. Some rims with a zero offset would be nice to make her a bit wider, might have to look into that some day.

Awesome looking ride!!
What’s your thoughts on noise levels in the cab? Some reviews I’ve watched they mention being very noisy? I’ve been in a general and I can’t say it was overly noisy.

It is kinda loud in the cab. I installed some sound deadening material behind the back seat which really didn’t change things much. I ordered a carpet kit for it at the sand show this weekend made out of that boat sea deck kinda stuff. Hopefully that will help some. Friend that was in it this weekend said the noise was similar to a bit quieter than being in his can am. It does come with a great stereo and that drowns out most all of the noise.

Thanks for the feedback! I just ordered one and the noise issue was my only concern. I agree the stock stereo sounds really good and will help out alot!.

Nice, did yours come stock with the side mirrors? Mine did not, I had to pay the 200.00 extra and install myself.

I bought them and the rock sliders. Polaris has coupons for 150 off 750 or 50 off 250 for the rest of the month.

Not sure of the helmet law. I have no plans to run this in glamis which would be the only time I would be in CA. with it. Mostly Havi/Williams/Utah trails for me so not concerned about helmets.
The XP5 Northstar has 999cc motor and weighs in at 2700-2800lbs, where does that fall into the helmet rules?

Get a real deal long travel kit made for it. 😍
X2

As usual, HCR has done some nice work for the new unit.

And SDR moved recently to Mesa, AZ and has done some R&D for a nice set up too.

@DUNEFLYER Do you think the XP is quieter than the ADV?
I have not been in both but my guess is the ADV has to be quite a bit louder than the XP. The XP is still noisy for sure. The ADV has the roof extended over the bed and the bed is closed in and part of the inside cab. The XP at least has a thin plastic wall behind the rear seats and a large glass window separating the cab from the motor/bed. I installed some sound deadening material behind the back seats but it did not seem to make a very notable difference.

I will have to check that out. Most the time both those guys do more of a lift kit style deal then a real long travel, although it still does improve the suspension quite a bit.

I bought one a few days ago. Haven't got a chance to use it yet. I love it in the driveway tho.
Let us know how you like it. I’m thinking about getting one. Curious how the engine noise is inside the cab and how well the AC works.

I turned on the ac to make sure it works. It was quick to make cold air. Haven't got a chance to use it. In a few short burst down the road noise seemed what I would expect.
...had I not read the complaints. It's my first sxs, so I have no bars set.

Check this RD, I think they call it a mid range travel kit.

Long travel for the RangerCrew actually made ours 12” wider.
Not really sure what you mean by “lift kit style, rather than long travel”. Not to change your mind or opinion but here is a pic that maybe helps you see it better.

HCR does make a lift and forward A frame kit, it was fine for getting a bigger tire on. However, I selected to redo it and went with their Long Travel Kit once Fox released the QS3’s.
