So I got a quarter from Fort Rock farms and I am making a meatloaf for tomorrow night. Roughly 4lbs of some mighty fine looking hamburger and about 2.5 lbs of bacon in a weave around the out side. It will go on the smokier tomorrow.

A wing and a prayer. I don't measure shit. This was roughly 4lbs of ground beef, 3 eggs, half a thing of bread crumbs. Ketchup, mustard, bbq sauce, pepper and garlic powder. Sometimes I chop up a green pepper for some flavor. And whatever else I feel like throwing in the bowl.

My wife’s meatloaf is half ground beef, and half ground pork. I’ve never had a meatloaf as good as hers, but I see you have the pork handled in the form of bacon. I’m gonna suggest we try that, because everything is better with bacon. But, I’m thinking some crisp-fried bacon crumbled and mixed in would be great too!

After smoking the meatloaf try slicing it and grilling it in a fry pan with a bit of bbq sauce or ketchup, it kicks it up a notch. If you slice it thin enough grill it then make a nice samich out of it on some fresh bread, white, rye or pumpernickel, we take all kinds here this is the new positive RDP, never racist or discriminatory.

I think I just figured out whats for dinner!

Haha my girl friend went by my house to get the cash for Joels meat and said she was off to Vegas! I told her the way she gambles it would be a quick trip..

Our receipe is the same as Baby Rays but cook it on the Taeger at 225 for 2 hours. Last week used Joel's beef and pork and has become a family favorite..
I do meat loaf on the traeger as well, i use 2-2.5 pounds of ground beef, 1 pound of sausage and throw in some chorizo.

Amy’s digging the SoCal delivery program. We’ll meet customers for the rest of our beef delivery this morning then wind up at the beach this afternoon, with zero cow shit on our flip flops.

the more you work the meat precook the firmer it will hold its form. there is a point thought that goes too far. But someties it is nice have the more dense loaf for sandwich slices.

Well, I don't have @wash11 burger up here in Orygun, but do have a freezer full of local beef. Thanks for the idea for the Bacon Weave Meatloaf. Daughter and family were visiting last night, so we did this. Turned out pretty good, but a guy definitely wants to use thin bacon. I had a bunch of thick in the freezer, so we used it, and, a lot of the bacon was not cooked all the way. Like @bonesfab memtioned

Binders.

I.E. Eggs and breadcrumbs help meatloaves stay together, or crushed crackers... the things I learned from good 'ol mom!

I did the pools and indoor spas there, they put on nice tournaments

Yes, been walking this event for years.... sure wish they'd change dates though, they're cursed each year by rain/ winds. yesterday was great but today its raining and I'm slopping around trying to find John Daly. You'd think with his clothes he'd stick out more.

When my son makes meatloaf on his Trager he criss cross the bacon on the top only and flips the bacon over to cook both sides of the bacon. When the meatloaf is almost done he puts the bacon on the top rack and lets the meatloaf brown on top. Slice the meatloaf and serve the bacon on the side.

Throw chuck roast in crock pot
Set one stick of butter on top of meat

Add:

1 packet of ranch dressing mix (powder)
1 packet of some kind of gravy mix (powder)....I use Au Ju
1/2 bottle or so of peppercinis ... I added a bit of juice this time, but not needed
Carrots/chopped up taters/chopped up onion

Turn it on for 8 hours or so. The beef should pull apart and shred easily when done.


If the chuck roast is more of a cube, cut it into a few smaller pieces first...comes out better.

don't deviate from the plan....it sounds a little off, but it's awesome.

Thaw
Close to Room Temp
Dry w paper towel
Olive oil coat
Season
Smoke 250°
Needle in up until 135° internal
Pull, foil
Rest for 10min
Slice
Livin’

Wife did baked potatoes with butter, cheddar, smoked bacon bits and S&P
I subbed the starch for broccoli with same toppings. Mmmmmm good!
