Front row of Newport Dunes.

Newport dunes is Bitchin. We were looking at spots there the other night for June just a regular spot 750$ lol. Don’t wanna know what a front row costs. We’ve enjoyed sun outdoors San Diego also.

I see lots of AZ tags at our Dunes Resort.... its a pity the Bistro restaurant closed by ramp.... enjoyed talking with all you RV river types at the bar after a day of boating. I stopped by this week and they still have no plans to reopen. Thanks Brandon

A lot of times if you talk to the resort you can send them pictures of your moho and they can see how nice it is and they let you book. They just don't want a bunch of junkers rolling in...hence the 10 year rule.

We used to go to this county park in Bishop had water and a few electric hook ups but it was usually really slow, we would bring a Honda eu 2000 to charge batts or run a cord from a 110 outlet just to maintain batts

Even camped in the RV park behind Shats Bakery, walk to dinner & Breakfast, fresh bakery for coffee, Nice but that was 15 years ago….

drive around in the jeep, Shats bakery for Sammie’s, drive up Line street, Ancient Brisacine Pine forest 10,000 ft elevation

X2 on Cava in paso.

Also there’s another one that’s owned by the same company down the road called Wine country Rv. It’s the same thing for the most part.

Not too sure how far you are from Big bear but I’ve been told there’s a nice place there. I haven’t investigated it yet. It would be a long drive for me.

I am really close to Big bear and there are quite a bit of nice camp grounds up there. They are just all booked out months and months a head of time. This was just a last minute decision and the wife mentioned some place with the motorhome.

We recently sold the Cali house and are full timing in the RV until we find our next place to land.

Our first 2 weeks were at Waterfront RV Park in Huntington Beach. It’s pretty much a shit hole unless you love the beach. Being close to the beach is the only good part of this blacktop RV Park. 2 Weeks at Newport Dunes was awesome. The front row on the beach was nice. The park is clean and kept up and there are good restaurants a short electric scooter ride away. Next up is Featherily RV Park in Anaheim. I have driven past this place for over 30 years and its very nice. If you are looking for quiet and calm this is the place for you

The luxury RV parks are very nice. We stayed in one going though Vegas 2 years ago. You can find some nice units with good built up additions on the space

Step daughter lives right down the street, every time we drive by we say we should stay there as it always looks like it has open spots., maybe that's why.

Did you ever decide on a place? How was it? Updates please!
Nope. I looked into everyone you guys posted and they all look great. Just been so busy trying to get the boat done for last weekend we never made time to decide what/where to go so we just decided last night to stay home and get stuff done around the house that has been neglected. I had my RV steel carport extended at the beginning of the month for the new coach but haven't been able to move it in as I have a couple trees that need to come out. started doing that this week after work. House is a mess, big garage is destroyed from boat rebuild. Buggy, bike, atv stuff everywhere from offroad season. LOL the list goes on.

Hopefully check a few of these places out in the next few months and get back with reports.

I've driven by many, but always wondered, how the Fwy noise is?
[/QUOTE]
The freeway noise is a constant buzz. It got annoying after a while. I would say its the only down side @ the park

I agree. We book spots close to the pool that are nearest Frank Sinatra Rd and the freeway noise is not as bad.

Jeeps are great for flat towing behind an RV. Easy hookup and go, 5 to 10 minutes max. Don’t even know it’s back there. Also nice having off-road capabilities, comfortable around town, and it’s about the perfect size.

x2 on the skunks. Sun goes down and they come running around. They are used to people so they do NOT try to keep their distance.

checking out Pechanga RV resort for our first time next weekend. Daughter has a soccer tournament nearby.
We were there last weekend. We go there a decent amount for a quick weekend trip in between other RV trips out of town. We really like it...it is super nice and well maintained. There is usually plenty of people that are having little parties at their RV's so plenty of socializing can be had or just chilling in your spot. Pool will be packed!

Enjoy!

Is it big enough to even bother loading up and bringing the kids bikes? Or not worth the hassle?

I am heading here
At the end of the month. One of the places a little easier to get into, right across the freeway from Trestles.
I have stayed there twice. In the no hook up section. We spent the days at old man's beach. Getting in the beach is a long wait. Part of the crew would go at 3 am to try and get a hut. Not much at the campground but it's a nice location to get to the beach areas.

Nice! Did you walk all the way to the Airport for breakfast? Too crowded for me on the weekends, but the weekdays are great!

P. S. Avilla Beach is closed...
