What’s considered the Pirates Cove Beach? The entire length of the channel?

The Pirate cove Employees that were collect $$$ at the Beach for parking stated that next week it goes up to 35 / day Their reasoning is that the Nautical charges 27 and they're better than the Nautical

Anything is better than nautical lately lol

Edit: btw I love it. There’s literally hundreds of miles of beach on havasu. People need to get out and explore!

If you launch there ($15- unless that also is increasing next week), you get free beach parking.

Great......now RDP t-shirts are going to go up to $40. :looking:

$30 for a quality t-shirt is really nothing...I like them, and most of my daily t-shirts are in the $50-100 range (Johnny-0, TB, etc).

$35 for Pirates is a joke...and will end us going up there...plenty of other places to stop...especially since you tend to spend $100+ on food and booze while there. Bonehead move by their management...I'm sure someone can start positioning to take over that land lease.

Idk if it’s still the policy but I thought if you spent over the beach fee at the bar they didn’t charge you.

They should just set up a bar on the beach and tell everyone you’re either paying $35 to park or getting $35 worth of booze. Your choice.

Never mind on my other post. But hey they’re a private business and we all know at $100 a day that beach would be filled during the current times

I rarely ever pay. Just tell them you don't have cash. 80% of the time they either don't have the credit card machine, or it won't connect to process the card. Works every time..

Didn't matter in June...fucker still wanted the $20, and was a dick about it. Had two buckets on board. Honestly service etc is sliding there...its not worth wasting the fuel to me..but im usually listening to my wife etc who want to go. It's a great way to piss of the core long term customer..while chasing the short term cash.

I get it. We usually idle through the channel and either tie up at the docks and go eat/drink or cruise out and head up the river. I prefer hanging with our crew in clean running water.

Now I’ll be out there weekend after the 4th taking my brother and his USC friends out. So I’ll bring my $35 [emoji6]

BS!!
And they still charge you even if you just dropped $150 at the restaurant.

I’ve found it impossible to spend anywhere near that much at Pirates . (I don’t have a basketball team size family though). They take your order, disappear, come back and drop off food/drink never to be seen again.

Haha agreed

Unless you’re at the bar top

Then a few bucket races can handle the $150 lol

I will never understand or Believe they have Any Control over the "Island" across from the "Joint" that is on the "Channel" of the Colorado, actually I bet it was not legal to construct that Zip Line ending on that side.

They lease the entire property from BLM? All the way up the river including the RV sites.

Not BLM, San Bernadino County/State Of California who have No Control of that Island. I could maybe believe DOR, The Corps BUT!!?

The island is man made isn’t it? So does it matter?

Meaning if it once was attached to mainland CA then it was always “attached”?

From what I understand Pirate Cove "leases" the state park formerly known as Moabi. It sounds like they make payments to the state. How much, I have no idea. I also wonder if their is a percentage...which may be why they have been looking for an accountant for some time. As a formerly shady individual, that's a whole lot of "cover charges" for sand usage...

I’m still trying to wrap my head around this. So you all are telling me when you go to pirates for expensive drinks they also charge $35 to park your boat? Is this like a certain area or???? I’ve never been asked to pay anything.

Has anyone looked at land map and actually seen who owns the beach. If they don't I would tell them to pound sand. If they do I'd toss anchors keeping my boat off shore and tell them to pound sand they don't own the water. Ha!

So, what do they do if you refuse to pay? Are they going to tow you, get a ticket, call you names? Do they have a SBC Sherrif that issues tickets?

Wasn't there some shit show over insurance/permitting or something that caused the zip line to cease? Or ?
company out of the islands , don' t think they have any mainland thrill rides any more, the path over boat traffic was idiotic!

There are so many nice beaches north of pirates with clean water I’ll never understand someone Parking in there all day in that soup.

I keep taking everyone north of needles. The more scared the crowds are the better [emoji16].

Looks like you guys are enjoying life. Hope all is well with you and the family!

Who ever owns the Property owns the land/property to the Center of the Rive/Channel. I believe this is San Bernadino County who Leases to PC. They would control the PC Complex Property and the land under the water to the Middle of the River, in this case I am sure to the "Island"

Pretty sure the land owners property Ends at “ordinary high water mark“ and not the center of the channel.

🤫 🤫 and you had a good beach yesterday, but it’s already getting worse and worse up north. X beach is always my favorite and go to on the Az side.
