Everywhere I look they are the same full retail price.

I want to get a set for my kid who is a senior in ASUs commercial flight program. He just got a 94 on his commercial exam so I’m looking for a nice Xmas gift.

Yep. Lightspeed or Bose seem to sell for retail any where you look.

Bose has the newest right now, the A30.

Ship to a tax free state maybe to save a few bucks?

Both Bose and Lightspeed are pretty tough on resellers about not having discounts. Bose will sometimes have buy one get a free Bluetooth speaker things.

Of the two I prefer the Bose. But it is personal choice.

Honestly, let him go try them on. He might like the DC headsets or the Bose over the Lightspeeds. They all cost about the same. And different brands fit different.

And there usually Black Friday discounts from places like Aircraft Spruce or Sporty's.

Whether it’s Bose, David-Clark, Telex or Light Speed I’ve rarely seen any of them discounted or on sale. Maybe a refurbished or previous model will be offered at a lower price sometimes but they just don’t discount these. Crazy they are so expensive but you cannot trade the comfort and quality of a nice headset when wearing it for any length of time. Congrats to your son and good luck to him on his future aspirations 👍🏻😎👍🏻🚀

It’s ford vs Chevy vs dodge …. They all work really good. My wife and I both wear Lightspeed zulus because I saved a couple hundo each..

I would just buy my kid Bose A30 and be done with it.

I have the light speed Zulu and Bose a20 and I far prefer the Bose. The Bose were worth the premium imo

There are different versions. Some need power, some run on batteries. The plugs are different.

I have 4 sets, when I was flying my C-172 or my dads C-182.
I have a two seat RV-7A now.

All the big 3 (Bose, Telex, Lightspeed) price control and don’t really allow anyone to sell at a discount. The only place I’ve ever seen them cheaper is at Oshkosh. You used to be able to get everything cheaper at Oshkosh. My preference was always the Bose.

Had both. Lightspeed more comfy but still hurt my ears.

I started using clarity aloft. I’ll never go back!!!!
