Phone service, Data coverage, and Directv anywhere.....

Was hoping you guys could help me out with this, I have Verizon and coverage is weak at the river. I was thinking of switching to ATT, but don't want to end up worse off that I am starting. I would like to have the service with the best data coverage so that I could have directv anywhere on the ipad while we are at the trailer for the kids. Is there any service at the river that has good enough service to pull this off?

Typically phones on Verizon work at the river when phones on AT&T are not. Service sucks though no matter which one you have.

Havasu is usually the opposite. Verizon sucks there and AT&T is usually pretty good.

My AT&T has always been patchy in Parker. I'll go from full signal to no signal at no notice. Last time out it actually worked in the Keyes which was strange as it didn't used to. In Havasu my AT&T works very well.

Verizon data (Voice is no problem) sucks in Havasu because Mohave Kingman Wireless owns the CDMA rights and won't hook Verizon up. I'm only there so often and Verizon kicks ass everywhere else so I just use the house WiFi when I'm there.

I had an AT&T phone for my last job and it does work great in Havasu. Actually worked pretty good everywhere, just not quite as much remote coverage as Verizon (with obvious exceptions like Havasu) I didn't have anything to do with my bill though so I can't tell you about that. Verizon is always easy to deal with. Been with them for probably 7-8 years now so maybe that has something to do with it.

Verizon never gives me any issue. I usually lose 4G but have no issue on extended 3G... I ruin pandora and iTunes radio on the boat all weekend without any issues...
